I have owned this 2007 Saturn Aura since 2017 and the service airbag light will come on intermittently whether there is a front passenger or not, sometimes the light will remain on for the entire time I'm using the car that day and then other times the light come on for a brief period and on rare occasions the light will remain off that entire day. It doesn't seem to matter if the car is in motion or at what speed this occurs, it seems to be totally random. This has been happening as long as I have owned the car that currently has 109,00 miles on it. As far as I know this car has never been in any accidents.

Passenger airbag light. Airbag light does not remain on when a passenger of 115+ lbs is in the seat. I had the dealership check it and was told they could not find a problem. It was suggested that maybe the passenger was not sitting properly. Experimented with several different size passengers and the problem still persists. How safe is my passenger? is the airbag activated even if the light does not stay on? intermediate drive shaft---keep hearing a clunking/popping sound as well as feeling a pop under my feet on the driver's side. Dealership said it is the intermediate shaft that needs replaced but that it is not a hazard. How can a shaft related to the steering not be a hazard.

Passenger air bag on/off indicator intermittently turns to "off" even with a passenger weighing in excess of 150 pounds in the seat. Stopping and restarting the car sometimes corrects the issue temporarily. Research shows this is a commonly reported problem and that, in fact, the system will malfunction in an accident. Due to the dangerous nature of this failure, there should be a required recall from gm.

Front seat passenger observed that the passenger air bag light on the dash was indicating off. It remains off when the car is running. Both turn signal lights will not automatically turn off when the turn is completed. Took it to the dealer where I bought the car and he said, without investigating, that the steering wheel would have to be taken off and the turn signal stalk replaced which he estimated would cost $600. 00. I am retired from g. M. And can't afford that. Is there a recall in the future for these defects.
2007 Saturn Aura. Consumer writes in regards to air bag light comes on intermittently and other vehicle problems. The consumer stated the dealer told him to ignore the light or cancel it using the button on the steering wheel. The dealer stated there was nothing wrong with the air bag itself. The problem persisted and eventually, the dealer stated the entire passenger seat needed to be replaced. In June of 2013, when the consumer stopped for gas, the vehicle would not re-start. The vehicle had to be towed 150 miles to the local dealer. The problem was diagnosed as an ignition module. A few days ago, the driver's seat belt would beep 5 times and then a red light on the dash would blink, even though the driver had his seat belt on. Driving along a couple of miles, the beeping noise returned, as well as the red light. The problem was intermittent, but continued on for the remainder of the ride. The consumer took the vehicle to the dealer, where the problem was determined to be a module in the driver's seat and it would cost $1242 to replace it.

The heated seats comes on its own on both driver and passenger sides. The passenger seat belt light comes on when no one is in the front passenger seat. The service air bag light illuminates often when starting the car and when I turn car off and restart it goes out. . . But lately it stays on longer.
The steering on the car is very tight, meaning it does not turn smoothly. I feel every and any sort of bump the car goes over. When turning it feels as if the car is scrubbing the payment, not a thorough movement. There is also something loose or sounds as if something in the interior or under the hood is rattling or is may come apart. The dealership I purchased it from is saying that the sway bar and end links need to be replaced or tightened. Also, my air bag light popped on saying it needed to be serviced. . . . I have no idea about this alert on my display!!they explained to me it happens over time, however from reading other Saturn car owner's reviews this is a recurring complaint amongst many others. It is or was the top luxury sedan when it came out and it would appear the suspension would be a lot smoother on a sedan. Unhappy with results and I feel the history of car was not revealed at time of purchase. The repair bill estimate is around 500. 00 and that is a lot of expense. . . . There is another review referencing to the struts or type of strut to use should be the one made by chevy. Frustrated and confused in memphis,TN!!.

My passenger air bag light came on. When I took it to the dealership they indicated it was a bad bag that looked like it had been used. The car has never been in any kind of wreck. I bought it from a dealership with 28,000 miles and a carfax indicated one owner and no wrecks. I noticed on gm recall list several passenger air bags are being recalled. My dealership wants $700. 00 to replace and I feel it should be fixed by gm for putting a faulty air bag in the car.

Service air bag light comes on intermittently. I've read online that this has been a problem for a ton of other 2007 Saturn Aura owners. I have heard that the repair is well over $1,000. 00 because they have to take your passenger seat apart to get to the problem, & the labor costs alone are phenomenal! if so many people are having the same problem, why isn't this a recall??? air bags are very important, & if mine don't work, I think I should get the cost to fix it (from gm) to pay for the problem!!!.
2007 Saturn Aura xe passenger airbag light is intermittently on and off with passenger in the seat. Service airbag light comes on. Dealer states it will cost $960. To replace the pps module, the seat coil and the heater in the seat. This has occurred sporadically since I purchased this care with 35000 miles on it. As this is a safety issue with numerous complaints from other owners, it should be corrected by the manufacturer.
