Tl-the contact owns a 2007 Saturn Aura. The contact stated that while driving at 35 mph without warning, there was an abnormal vibration in the steering. Additionally, there was a popping noise in the steering wheel while turning. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic to have the front end alignment. The contact was informed that the passenger's side tie rod needed to be replaced as a part of the alignment. The vehicle was repaired however, the failure recurred. The vehicle was not included in NHTSA campaign number: 14e044000 (steering). Neither the dealer nor manufacturer were contacted. The approximate failure mileage was 97,000. The VIN was not available. Ah.
