My 2007 Saturn Ion recently started leaking drops of gasoline near the driver side rear tire. It is either an issue with the fuel line or the tank. It has not been inspected by the dealership yet. I get a gas cap warning message, but I'm not sure if it is related.

When pressing the gas pedal 2/3 of the way down the pedal got stuck causing the engine to rev high while driving forward. I had to put the car in neutral, shut the engine off and manually get the gas pedal unstuck by reaching down to the floor and pulling the pedal upwards with my hands. Also I had no floor mats in my car for the pedal to get stuck on. This has happened on multiple occasions.

Gas smell when driving and while parked. Mechanic lifted car and saw gas on the top of gas tank, car starting to stall during initial start up.

My gas tank is leaking a good amount of gas and is dripping all over my exhaust. Major fire risk and also my wiring has been all messed up. When my brights are on, my speakers make an unbearable screaming noise and I saw that this was an issue for many Saturn Ion users. There was a recall on this car for the same gas tank/pump issue years ago. Can I get this issue fixed free of charge or has the recall expired?.

The year, make, and model of my car has a factory recall for the fuel pump failing. I went to the dealership and they informed me my VIN # wasn't included and their was nothing they could do about it. My vehicle started leaking fuel last week so I dropped the tank and removed the fuel pump. I have done my homework on this including watching several videos on youtube concerning this issue and I'm 100% positive this fuel pump has failed in the exact location that all the other recalls have and yet my VIN number isn't on the recall according to this GMC service department manager. I am going to have to put a fuel pump in at my expense today because it's my transportation for work but I'm very upset about this situation and gmcs failure to have my vehicle included and having to replace their defected fuel pump. It's very frustrating knowing I'm putting my time and money towards it because I have my hands full trying to replace the house that hurricane ida destroyed about a month ago. We need help with this situation because our money is very tight and don't really have it to fix gmcs mistake. I will keep the fuel pump that came out of it along with the receipt for it so anyone can clearly see that I'm not only correct but being shafted on the recall. The car is leaking gas from the gas tank. I see recalls from this year, make and model from this vehicle yet when I put my VIN in it says 0 recalls.

The rpms jump around and the a/c makes noise and lights flicker at times. The car will just stall in the middle of an intersection or when I'm turning onto another road. It's quite scary with children in the car. My main concern is a large SUV put it in reverse and hit the front of my car before ending up on the hood near the windshield. She was going pretty fast and pushed my car pretty far but no airbag! then on a separate occasion I was doing 55 miles when a large animal darted out in front of me. My front end and radiator and front end were shot. Even split my passenger side dash open and had to be towed off but no airbags!! exactly how do I have to be going for me to have protection????.

It loses alot of gas it leaks all under car and its strong smellimg fire hazard. It does not leak if car is off only when its running. Driving down 75 the under carriage of car soaking wet.

Fuel leak on rear driver side when the engine is running while car is stationary. It may have happened before the date and mileage stated below but that's when I first noticed the fuel leak.

Tl- the contact owns a 2007 Saturn Ion. The contact stated that the fuel line rusted out in two parts. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic and was diagnosed that the main fuel line and the fuel vapor line to canister rusted out and had hole. The contact stated that the mechanic replaced fuel line. The vehicle repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and provided a case number. The failure mileage was approximately was 53,951. Aw.

My cars fuel lines are leaking all over the place while vehicle is running.

Hi I am a kind of new owner of an 04 Saturn Ion, this is actually the second complaint I've filled out. Last July I had a mechanic friend look at my fuel filter and he had said the fuel line needed to be cut off becuase of how rusted on to the original fuel filter I'd got it with was and I didn't believe him so I replace it myself and when I got it off I had cleaned up the metal fuel line the best I could and put a new filter on. Well now it leaks gas right where the hook up is and very strong fuel smells come from there too, I've gotten numerous comments about how un safe that is to be driving it but I need to have a way to work and then someone had mentioned to check for recalls and I seen on there that this car did have a recall for faulty fuel filter gas lines. If you could get back to me as soon as possible about an inspection if needed or whatever else you'd need on my behalf. Please and thank you for your time.

Tried taking fuel filter off last July took a whole weekend of using penatrating oil and freeze off then I finally got the tabs to come loose, I thought maybe I messed up the new filter or didnt get enough rust off the fuel line and that's what was causing the strong smell of gas nd poor performance but changed it again and still that same problem but now theres a leak. The car was on back tire ramps the girl fuel filter change then the 2nd one was done with a hoist and currently this car is the only thing I can count on to make it to work, thank you for your time and consideration.

I inherited the car from my mother the car has a problem with the fuel system we had it fixed but the same codes are poping up.

Service person says that I need to replace the fuel injector line. Thought that was done so by a recall I had done already. Hard to start and smell of gasoline.

Started smelling gas then noticed a few days later that it was leaking when driving and parked.

The car is having the same difficulties as the other cars covered by the recall. It was made in tennessee. The manufacturer is refusing to correct the problem and states the car is not cover under the recall. Car can't be driven due to smell of gas and due to the information I have researched it may start a fire. I would like them to correct the problem.

Vehicle was stationary when problem occurred. Fuel intake and return lines in front of the rear drivers side wheel flaking badly and rusted through, about an 8 inch section of line was flaking and rusted through. Fuel line was rubbed when putting on new oem exhast and broke through the lines. Gas was leaking bad enough that it was deemed not safe to drive as these lines are about 5 inches away from the exhaust.

The vehicle smells like gasoline after being driven and smells like gasoline when stationary. The power steering will display a warming message and the car will become hard to steer.

Throttle body position sensor again and again causes major loss of power and sometimes results in stalling out in seconds.

Extremely strong fuel smell has begun this week after driving vehicle and is parked. See no leaks of gasoline around vehicle. Has low mileage for age, under 90,000 miles. Certain areas have been recalled for this, but not for my VIN# at this time. Has to be same problem. Sounds identical. I will need to have my 2007 Saturn Ion inspected.

2004 Saturn Ion 2. 2/4 engine started smelling gas fuel line issues found . . . Others having same issue there are recalls but only on certain VIN #s 107,000 miles how many cars before nation wide recall ??!!.

Fuel line rotted so much that one day I start my car and every drop of gas I had poured out onto the ground under my drivers seat. It was a fire hazard and now I am stuck without a car. The garage wants over $600 to replace the fuel line and I literally have no way to fix it. The vehicle was on a city street.

Fuel line to throttle body leaked fuel due to stress cracks. Part that failed is " no longer available" according to gm parts sales. . Mechanic welded cracked pipe and said eh has fixed quite a few of these. I have receipt from repair shop.

The contact owns a 2005 Saturn Ion. The contact stated there was a strong fuel odor coming from the vehicle. There were no warning indicators illuminated before or after the failure. The vehicle was not taken to a dealer to be diagnosed. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The contact believed the failure was relevant to NHTSA campaign number: 09v419000 (fuel system, gasoline). The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 115,000. The VIN was not provided.

Tl the contact owns a 2007 Saturn Ion. The contact smelled a fuel odor after parking the vehicle and noticed fuel leaking from the rear passenger side of the vehicle. The dealer was not contacted. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer stated that there were no recalls. The contact referenced NHTSA campaign number: 12v459000 (fuel system) as a possible solution. The failure mileage was 47,407.

The car died while in motion moving down a city street and failed to restart. There's a strong gasoline odor in and around the vehicle and it appears to be leaking fuel from underneath the car.

We have power steering light comes on and later it will rest but its happening alot also emulsion light came on after replace fuel lines.
