Was driving 60mph while going around a corner on a highway and the power steering failed. Almost caused us to wreck but was luckily able to regain control. This issue should be investigated and a recall issued. Pulled into a shop when we get into town and fluid is full, it's now at the dealer being diagnosed.

Power steering intermittently fails while turning left or right at low speeds. When it fails it becomes very difficult to turn the steering wheel, requiring significant force to complete the turn. This becomes very dangerous and a major safety issue. Repairs shops have not been able to diagnose the issue since it happens intermittently. Issue began to occur with less than 100k mikes.

The headlight wiring harness melts in these vehicles causing the light to fail, this is well documented on the internet on various forums. Early this morning my wife was pulled over by a police officer for having one working headlight, I attempted to replace the bulb and it still does not work, information on the internet lead me to discover melted wires on the light fixture, this is a huge safety problem with this vehicle. There is also a well documented problem with the front end suspension, it fails prematurely and my Outlook is also having this problem. It also has power steering failure, the air conditioning system is failing, along with all the other safety systems that need recalled on this piece of gm junk pile. I have a wife, and beautiful two year old twin girls, who use this vehicle frequently, shame on gm for putting this thing on the road, the whole thing should be recalled and shredded for scrap, owners should be fully reimbursed the current value of vehicle.
Power steering fails whenever there is a decrease in speed. Especially difficult when trying to turn into merging traffic.

While driving at low speeds the power steering fails and it is extremely challenging to complete turns. As this occurs randomly, it is impossible to predict when this will occur. Numerous customer forums with Saturn Outlooks/GMC acadia and Buick encore indicate a problem with either power steering fluid, power steering pump or steering rack. This could be extremely problematic on winding roads with hairpin curves.
Power steering pump was first replaced due to failure in 10/2011. Power steering pump has again failed and now requires replacement of the pump, hoses, and steering rack due to the damage caused by failed pump at a cost of $1,700. Technician advised that the parts have to be ordered from canada and will take up to 3 weeks to come in!! the first replacement pump's 1 year warranty expired, so once again, I'm paying out of pocket to replace this part as a result of a "known problem. " last fall I had an issue with the sunroof leaking into the cabin of the car due to another "known problem. " gm needs to step up to the plate and recall these vehicles to correct these "known problems. ".

During a drive from atlanta, GA to augusta GA my 2007 Saturn Outlook my steering would occasionally respond with a slight jerk. At the end of the trip during a right turn into our office parking lot the power steering failed momentarily but I finished that turn and then a left turn. As I started a right turn into a parking space the power steering failed completely. I used all my strength to get the vehicle into the parking spot. I stopped the engine and checked the power steering which appeared to be overful. I restarted and attempted additional steering maneuvers which were all difficult. I had the vehicle transported to the repair shop where they diagnosed a disintegration of some internal component of the power steering pump. They flushed the system and replaced the pump. I believe this failure under other circumstances could lead to a serious crash.
Power steering fails on my 2007 Saturn Outlook. Dealer has attempted to fix it 3 times but failed. It's currently at dealer now for the 4th attempt. It's been there for the last 21 days. I never know when steering is going to fail. It used to only fail when I went through puddles but now it does it even on a dry day. I have almost hit telephone poles, trees, cars and people. It's very dangerous and someone is going to get hurt or killed if Saturn cannot fix this problem. I dropped car off on June 7, 2009 with no power steering. They returned it to me on June 25. I drove only a few miles before the steering failed again. Luckily, I was turning into parking lot at the time so I was not going that fast. I almost went up sidewalk and into a tree. The car had to be towed from parking lot.
