I have been in an accident on [xxx] at this location [xxx] . I was driving the Toyota Camry 2007 model car. So my car got with another car. From the accident my front of the car got damaged heavily, even though the airbags didn't deployed. So my chest got hit with steering and had a neck injury information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. C. 552(b)(6).
Whenever I start my car I can see a red triangle symbol I think it’s srs warning light. Then I check my owner’s manual then I find out that it’s srs warning lights. I don’t know what to do. Please let me know what should I do?.
Heard a pop while driving and the side airbag cover doesn’t properly stay in place.
I'm in love with Toyota. In brazil I always had cars of this brand, but newer in manufacture. I recently purchased a 2007 Toyota Camry from a third party and at the time of purchase I did not realize the size of the problem. The car as always is excellent. But to my surprise your panel is simply melting. Just tap it and it dissolves in your hand. As it is sticky and sticky in the hot sun, its reflection almost completely covers the front windshield. I need to drive with dark glasses to get visibility. When researching the subject, I realized that this problem is widespread. That all Camry's have this defect. Imagine the danger of those countless drivers driving in poor visibility. It really is a disappointment with Toyota, and I hope they have a solution not only for me, but for everyone, as I consider this a matter of public safety.
My dash board is sticky and uncleanable, making it very hard to see out the windshield at all hours day or night, which could potentially cause a crash. I have also noticed tons of people online with the same problem. This needs to be recalled or class action lawsuit.
The contact's husband owns a 2007 Toyota solara. The contact stated that her daughter noticed cracks on the dash above the glove box above the passenger side air bag. No warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was not diagnosed. The vehicle was not repaired. The dealer nor the manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 80,000.
Driving around a curve in the highway at about 50 mph. Truck came into the lane. Driver panicked and pulled to the edge of the lane, lost control of the car. Car spun and both the front end and back end hit a concrete barrier. No airbags deployed. Impact hard enough to lose both fenders and unable to open two of the doors.
The airbag warning light comes on at times constantly and occasionally intermittently. The connection under both front seats has been checked and found secured.
I had a rollover accident in my Camry on 5/13/2021. My brakes locked up which sent me into a spin and then eventually flipping over an embankment. Only one of my airbags deployed and it was the passenger door airbag. The rest of the airbags did not go off. Yes the vehicle is still available for inspection. My safety was put at risk because of the brake malfunction and subsequently because of the airbags not deploying in the manner they are aupoosed to. I rolled the vehicle I'm sure the manner in which h I wrecked would have caused all airbags to deploy. No I never seen a brake or a airbag light on my dashboard. No one else has inspected the vehicle components other than an insurance claims rep to determine my vehicle is a total loss. I'm unsure on who I could have look at it without compromising the integrity of the findings. The brakes however were worked on by jd byrider a week and a half before the accident. They changed my rotors.
Tl the contact owned a 2007 Toyota Camry. The contact stated while at a stop, at an intersection, the vehicle inadvertently accelerated into traffic and an 18-wheeler crashed into the passenger's side of the vehicle. The check diagnostic light was on the instrumental panel prior to the crash. Only the steering wheel's air bag deployed and knocked the contact out. The contact sustained injuries from the seatbelt and the deployed air bag. The front passenger sustained internal bleeding and injuries to his knees, his right leg and his right arm. The front passenger was air lifted to the emergency room for medical attention. A police report was filed. The contact called knight motor company dealer (103 n timberland dr, lufkin, TX 75901) and was hung up on. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The vehicle was totaled and was towed to a tow yard. The contact stated researched failure on line and found NHTSA campaign number: 07e082000 (equipment) as a possible cause of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.
The plastic panel that holds the airbag on the driver's side (between the windshield and the door) is expanded and bent. I am very concerned that something is wrong with the airbag or if the airbag is expanding inside the plastic panel and therefore is defective. Please look into this issue as soon as possible since Camry was not part of the airbag recall as many other Toyota models.
Dashboard is melting, sticky, shiny, creates dangerous glare.
Was t-boned on my driver's side door at 40mph and no airbag deployed. . Not even the side curtain airbag and the whole driver's side window shattered. Was turning left at a light when I was tboned.
I was in a car accident were I was hit from the back pushed in to another vehicle we're my car was totaled yet my airbags did not come out. Not on sides or front. I want to wash my car to toe delta sonic car wash after the wash the airbag light come on.
Takata recall - for some reason this model has never appeared on the takata recall list and I am concerned as my car ages that this is an incident waiting to happen. How can this be addressed? by the way I am the original and only owner of this 2007 Toyota Camry.
As I was traveling home and my steering wheel start to have a mind of its own so it veered to the right and I lost control so the car spent around we end up on the left side. Seatbelt was not helping protect us at all my daughter seatbelt allowed her to slide under breaking her right femur and my right femur on plus my ankle had to be reconstructed. Airbags came out 30 minutes after the wreck,.
Takata recalls dash board is sticky air bag sign off.
My 2007 Toyota solora cuts off as I'm driving! I just purchased this car found out it has a few recalls ! I'm scared , this is very dangerous! what's wrong with my car?.
My wife was run off the road going about 55mph. She centered the front of her car into a telephone pole. The airbags didn't deploy. Car was totaled.
My husband was in a severe accident in my car on March 15,2017. To which the air bags didn't deploy. Which caused him to get crushed in the lower half of his body. He is forever disabled at the age of 40. There was nothing left of the car. I feel if they would of deployed he wouldn't of been this bad off. The other driver in a full size Dodge pickup pulled out , while my husband was in full speed of 40miles an hour. To which he hit the truck in the gas tank that caused explosion as well. We settled with the other driver. But now he needs medical and compensation for pain and suffering, dwelling. He can never work again. Its hard and time consuming for disability. We need help.
I was on the freeway in traffic. When I step on the brake, the car didn't make a full stop. I end up hitting the truck in front of me. When my car struck the vehicle in front, the airbag didn't deploy.
Takata recall nothing has happened so far. Because the 2007-2011 Lexus ES was recalled for some regions, I was wondering if the 2007-2011 Toyota Camry should also be recalled as well, since the Lexus ES is based on the Toyota Camry.

I was driving my 2007 Toyota Camry le about 55 miles an hour on a three lane interstate freeway. I was in the slow lane and my car suddenly and violently turned to the left, causing the car to hit a large RV in the center lane. The car continue spinning across the fast lane (it's amazing no cars were in that lane because traffic was fairly heavy). The back end of my car hit the center cement barrier hard (car totaled) and I came to a stop on the inside shoulder facing the opposite direction of where I was originally traveling. The airbag did not go off and the locking part of the seatbelt didn't seem to work. I could have been easily killed or killed someone else. I will contact Toyota. There is no excuse for this.
Dashboard peeling and sticking. . . Airbags on passenger side.
Numerous cracks over entire dashboard that may cause problems if airbags are caused to deploy.
Dashboard has begun to deteriorate. It has a sticky film on it that reflects sunlight into the driver's face. The dashboard has begun to be very sticky and looks like it's going to start to fall apart. More than aesthetically disappointing is the safety issue. The reflection from the defective dashboard makes it difficult to see the road at times.
Dashboard recal as the title aptly suggests, my Camry's dashboard has melted due to the extreme heat. My windshield has no tint and I sometimes forget to put up the windshield foil cover when I park. The dashboard now feels very sticky and when I leave the car under the sun for a long stretch, I can actually rub off some of the dashboard's rubber coating surface if I touch it. It also has several scratches due to accidental hits from fingernails and such, and a lot of scratches from the bottom of the windshield foil cover (yes, the dashboard is now that soft). I'm afraid to apply anything on it as this might just make its condition worse. My last option is to use a dashboard cover to hide the scratches and prevent the dashboard from getting damaged further. My concerns with this option are: where do I buy a good/decent-looking dashboard cover for my car? (my dashboard is color black). I'm based in fort buchanan, guaynabo and would this get in the way of the passenger airbag? any other suggestions aside from my idea above, please do not hesitate to express them. Help desperately needed. Thanks jose luis rosado 787-692-6684 today I have attempted in contacting you on the number you provided with a negative result. The number rings and immediately goes into a occupied mode. (877) 855-8377 none responsive.
I would like to file a compliant about my dash melting and being sticky. I love this car and the dash looks horrible. I also had tried cleaning it but then the fuzz just sticks to it, try to keep sunshade in it and it sticks to it, bugs stick to it. Please let me know what I can do about this.
My dashboard is sticky and seems to be melting has a glare in the windshield, and the side window casing over airbags along windshield windows is warped and keep poping out exposeing wires. I bought this car one year ago and as I was told it has never been in a wreck. I don't have money to fix these problems so what am I to do?.
The first incident, the abs light came on, I turned off the car and started it again it stayed on and when I got on the road, I had to press the brakes all the way to the floor to get the car to stop. The next time, it did the same thing and after driving a while it will just release and the brakes will be back to normal. I took it to the dealership and they couldn't find anything wrong the first time because the light was off. The next time the light came on I brought it back but by the time they got the car to the back to test, the light was off again and they can't get the computer program to give an error message again. The third time, I brought it in and he came to the lane and tested it and told me it was the brake system accuator, like so many others I have been reading about. Each time this happens I have to push the brakes all the way to the floor to stop, I'm afraid I may be on the highway going a faster speed when it happens and have an accident. At this point, the car has disengaged the air bags so if there is an accident the air bags will not engage, which is another concern. $2200. 00 to repair, nearly 10% of the cost of what I paid for the car. I drive two teenage girls, my daughter and an International student who resides with us and I worry constantly about the brakes failing while we are driving due to this safety issue that I feel like Toyota should fix because of the high rate of failures. I've been saving for the repair but haven't gotten it all yet.
On 11/19/2013, I flipped my 2007 Toyota Camry. The air bags never came out. I reported to Toyota corporation and they never offered an explanation for this.
