Intermittently, after coming to a complete stop, the brake pedal will sink completely to the floor after a few seconds. This has been occurring since I bought the car brand new. Once the car reached about 5000 miles, it would come to a complete stop, then lunge forward several feet, stop, make a moaning sound, then lunge forward again; all while my foot was still on the brake. I did not notice any fault lights come on my dashboard. It then drove fine for about 10 miles when the same pattern repeated itself again, exactly the same way. I took it to the dealer and they cannot find anything wrong with it, or repeat the problem. They would like me to return when the problem repeats itself. Of course, I?m hesitant to do this since the next time someone may get seriously injured. Please help!.
I believe that the antilock brakes on the Toyota Camry 2002 are too sensitive. They engage way too early when applying the brakes. When there is a little snow on the road and I am traveling even at a snails pace and try to stop, the brakes engage causing the car to skid through the light. Every other car I drove slowed to a stop.

When applying the brakes vehicle made noises, engine accelerated, and vehicle surged forward. Owner took the vehicle to the dealer, and the dealer told the owner that this problem could not be duplicated. Therefore there was nothing they could do.
The brake light came on while going down the interstate. The car was taken to a service station and the diagnosis was that the car was quickly leaking brake fluid from a brake line, and the abs actuator. After already having a final repair attempt for the same defective part, Toyota had to again replace the brake line and the abs actuator. Currently we are pursuing arrbitration based on the north carolina lemon law to demand the repurchase of this unsafe vehicle that continue to have defects in the braking system.
