I had to take my vehicle to Toyota bc it failed to start. There was an error code that of coolant issue error code and this was reported to the dealership they said that wasn’t the issue and my wires were chewed however I see that there actually is a history of issues with that incident and I wonder if I was given incorrect diagnosis from dealership this costed thousands of dollars from my insurance company and me to fix. Since repair my vehicle has not been the same .

Driving down the turnpike in ohio, electrical components in the car started flashing and the check engine light came on. "charging malfunction" something or other and it also said "steering power low". Then the car completely shutoff and I had to coast to the shoulder. It was then towed and is at a local shop. It's a 2019 with 75,000 miles - this should not have happened. I saw the 2020 Camry 2. 5 liter recall for a crack in the engine, it would not surprise me if that is also what happened to my car.

With the car on, and wanting to take off, I pressed the accelerator pedal and there was a several second delayed reaction in throttle response/car movement. The car eventually started to move. This is the 3rd time I have went to push the gas pedal and the car did not immediately respond. There are no check engine or other warning lights on the dashboard. This is a huge safety issue as one time I went to pull out and the car acceleration did not respond almost causing an accident. I have not yet taken the car to the dealership but plan to soon. The last time I took the car to the dealer they said they would charge me, even if the vehicle is in warranty period, if they did not find anything therefore discouraging such items from being reported/further investigated. The first event was quite some time ago but the last 2 have happended in the last 30 days with the 3rd being 4. 13. 24.

On April 11 at about 8:06 a. M. , upon returning from exercising at the peter blum ymca in boca raton, I was very slowly parking my car in the garage. The car was half way in when it suddenly accelerated forwards, impacting two bicycles standing on their racks at the end of the garage, the washing machine, the dryer, the water heater and through them, the garage back wall, where cracks were created. I applied the brakes as hard as I could but the car just kept going. It finally stopped, after hitting the bicycles and the appliances. Astonished by what was happening, I put the car in park and then very carefully, I went backwards to review the damage. All of a sudden, the car accelerated backwards until it hit some bushes across the street from my house. It is a street with foot traffic by neighbors holding their small kids and dogs. Cars are usually parked on the side walk. Miraculously, nobody was injured and no car was parked. I authorized inspection by Toyota. My insurance company geico only inspected body damages to the car. There were no warnings.
Vehicle has slow takeoff acceleration.

I had a feeling sick while driving my car. I placed a smoke and carbon monoxide detector in the cabin. The detector went off. I tried different things windows up windows down, recuperate open and close and detector alarmed. I brought my car to doggett Toyota they found a leak in engine that was running to exhaust. I paid for $117 for estimate and $337 for part. The service department is pressing me to let them use my carbon monoxide detector. I refuse. When I went pick up the car fumes plus soap smell is still in the car. Detector still alarm 229ppm. They only offer to rent a ccar which I cannot drive because of health reasons. Other 2020 are carmys are recalled because oil leak and possibly damage to engine block. I requested my car be examined for the same problems as recall. The service department says I need ask corporate to send there own mechanic and I pay for it. Hours of run around miscommunication. That car is not safe to drive. Dealership doesn't have carbon monoxide detector or means to detect the smoke in the cabin. Service members all over the place, texting on cell phone, walking away while on phone with corporate etc.
Our 2021 Toyota Camry hybrid is spurting gasoline out of the area where the gas cap is and the gas is flowing down the side of the car. The problem has something to do with overpressurizing the gas tank when the temperature changes outside from cold to warm. This can happen while the car is in motion and creates an explosion risk. On a cold morning if you let the car sit while the temperature rises you can actually video the gas dripping down from the gas cap. I have video of this happening and many photos of the resulting stains on the side of the car. The car is available for inspection. The dealership claims to not be able to reproduce the issue, but they do not deny the video because it's quite obvious. Toyota claims nobody has reported this issue and they only paid the dealership to fix the paint. There's a reddit article about Toyota Camry hybrid gas ruptures. Everyone is at risk of this defect due to the explosion risk while driving and a cigarette could ignite the gas on the side of the car. The car has been inspect by lou fusz Toyota, but they are remiss to do anything to resolve the problem. I have requested a replacement car since ours only has 20,000 miles and is practically new. There were no warning lamps, messages, our only indication of this problem was a strong odor of gasoline, a visible stain down the side of the car often on days with large temperature changes from cold to hot, and the time when I actually took video of it while it was happening back in March 2023. I'm very concerned about the safety of this car and the dealership seems unable, or unwilling, to address the defect. They replaced the gas cap in March 2023 which resolved the issue temporarily, but it just overpressurizes the new one and now it's happening again on these spring days where temperatures fluctuate. It's incredibly dangerous to drive a car that is leaking gasoline out the side. Please help us.

Tracking #11577489reference to carbon monixide leak in cabin of the car. 227ppm and greater. No warning signals went off. My personal carbon monixide detector alarmed me after repairs of engine seal for leak. March 12, 2024 hunter at doggett called repairs are done. This car is not safe to drive. Toyota brand experience caller lily called me Thursday March 14 and said someone from the team would call me by Tuesday, March 19. As of March 31 6:45pm --I have not heard from anyone. Turned on the car drove about 30 seconds and car states that secondary pre collision emergency brake and it just stops on a busy street with no other signs of defect ever . My vehicle goes to the dealership constantly and is very well taken care of.
My car has been brought into the shop over two times due to a recall that has no yet been resolved and has no time frame as to when there will be available parts created to fix this issue. The passenger air bag is in for a recall as in case of anything, the air bag will not deploy correctly or at all. This is a major safety issue as it can cause the death of the person rising in the passenger seat. I do not feel safe driving in this car especially since my car is always a full house and it is used as a family vehicle where all 5 seats are being used at once. This is a recall that was later found on this car meaning that the car was built like that. Again, I do not feel safe as I have had family members die in a car accident before. I have asked the dealership multiple times to resolve this issue. On June 23rd 20024, I was almost in a car accident. All 5 seats were being used and we were almost hit by a car that was going over approximately 85mph. A life could have been taken if we would have been hit and the air bag would not have deployed at all or correctly. My car has been in the shop, hanlees hilltop Toyota since Monday June 24th. I was concerned about the airbag and again, they do not have any parts that have been created by Toyota manufacturer. I asked for a loaner car and they did not want to help nor provide me with one. I do not feel safe in this vehicle and the airbag not working should be considered high risk and this car should not be drivable due to this major high risk issue.

You absolutely can not pull out in traffic because the car has a horrible lag, it’s as if it stalls at initial acceleration. Whether it’s pulling out of a side street, setting off from a stop light, or occasionally while already moving and speeding up. When stepping on the vehicle’s accelerator pedal, there was a lag of around five seconds or so before the vehicle started to accelerate at all. Yes it’s available for inspection upon request. The safety issue is the car can kill you at any moment but you never know when! the dealer has “fixed” the issue once already with a recall. The vehicle has not been inspected again because you never know when it will happen and they think they already fixed the issue! initially I got warning lights before the recall and had the vehicle towed 3 times in the first month of owning it for its problem. Now it just does the same stuff without warning lights and hasn’t broken down yet.
Gas tank does not open. There’s a button that you press and sounds like it’s jammed. I went through the trunk to pull the yellow handle (looked online and seen others have this issue also) and it does not work on my car. I have to have someone press the button while I use my keys to go on the side to push it open.
I all of a sudden started smellinggas but could not find any leaking underneath the car, also my car started giving lower mileage. Called the extended warranty and submitted the car to firestone auto care. They ran a fuel system inspection and found leak. They removed and replaced the the fuel line and fuel pump. They said the can was at risk of catching fire and this is unusual.
Car has a fuel pump or fuel system and central florida Toyota has not fixed it even after taking it 2 times to the dealership.
Incident: just driving along when all of a sudden, the car engine turned off and check engine light came on along with warnings about brake system failures, fuels system failures and message to contact your dealer. Any attempts to restart the car failed. The vehicle was a 2020 Toyota Camry xse with 75000 miles. The vehicle was inoperable. Cause: there is a small air intake resonator box that connects to the air flow between the air filter compartment and the throttle. This resonator is made of plastic and the part that connects to the airflow main tube, had cracked and broken off and the broken piece got stuck in the throttle causing the vehicle to become disabled. This part is never touched when performing air filter maintenance and it was determined that over time, it just cracked and eventually broke off. This is a defect in the design and if this had happened at highway speeds could have had serious consequences.
I need to know was there a recall on a oil consumption problem for my vehicle. There was an issue with me having to add oil to my vehicle constantly. I’m hearing stories that there may have been, but I didn’t receive any letter. And I just spent some thousands of dollars on an engine that I could not afford. Please help me!! thanks!!.

Car does not accelerate from stop at a traffic light intermittently. This poses a risk/hazard as the car behind it closes on it and expects the car to move forward . The vehicle was recalled a year ago for a fuel pump that was supposed to cause the same issue. Its been replaced and the issue has shown up again and now cannot be reproduced by the manufacturer.
My vehicle is displaying a low break message and is telling me to park for safety. However, the vehicle is not movable from my garage.
The a25a-fks engine fails to idle properly and will stall at times due to a cylinder imbalance. Ics malfunction light comes on as well. This puts other people at risk because a vehicle stalling or malfunction of the Toyota safety sense system can lead to car accident. Vehicle was taken to two independent mechanics and couldn’t find the root of the problem. Was told to go to a Toyota dealership. A Toyota dealership inspected the vehicle, done several tests, swapped computer modules and couldn’t find the cause. The dealership replaced fuel injectors, fuel pump and had done a cleaning on the intake and the vehicle still had the trouble code. 4k worth of work and the vehicle still persisted with the issue. What I first noticed from the car was an odd knocking noise when starting the car, followed by excessive white smoke at idle, parking sensors not working, the car improperly starting for the first time followed by a ics malfunction, blinking parking sensor icon and check engine light. Code: p219c. The dealership wants to charge me 10k to take the engine apart to either replace a faulty part (within the engine) or putting in a new engine all together. Several recalls for Toyota Camrys from 2018 and 2020 have sighted defects with the engine blocks causing white smoke and stalling. These recalls should be extended to more manufacturing months as this is a noticeable flaw.
After filling my tank of gas (not overfilling), and parking the car overnight in the cold. I have gas that leaks out of my gas tank onto my garage floor. I reported this to the dealership where I purchased on Feb 20, 2023 with photos. I have the car at Toyota muscatine today 12/12/23 and they have been unable to replicate and are not sure what to fix since there is no current recall notice. I've sent both places photos now.
The high pressure fuel pump line suddenly ruptured at the high pressure fuel pump. This happened without warning and spewed fuel all over the engine compartment and onto the exhaust system that comes out just below the engine. It started a small fire on the engine exhaust pipe as I hurried to a mechanic across the intersection. Luckily I was able to turn off the car and avoid damage. The repair required a new high-pressure fuel pump as well as a line that runs into the pump. I kept the original parts - the mechanics state that the replacement fuel line was different than the one removed from the vehicle in the shape of the line connector to the fuel pump. I was told by Toyota that my car was not under recall despite there being fuel pump recalls for similar vehicles.
Car is just above 36 k and gave me engine light on not wanting to turn the engine on . I called a mechanic to stop by and maybe reset the computer …so much I know(the dash board was giving me a hybrid system failure) but the reader said its fuel pump control circuit low ,witch on the other hand is not allowing the car to start of and somehow related to the vehicle stability module and break system not mentioning a solenoid problem as well….
Vehicle lags then jerks upon acceleration.
I was sold an bad car.

My engine maintenance light go to dealer came on. Not for the oil change. I went to have my code ready and it said fuel pump. I usually get 340 to 350 on a full tank. Now I’m get like 305…302…. And I smell gas.
My car pulls back as I'm driving and or breaking. Specially when im in the freeway passing 40 miles per hour. Have take. It to get check but they tell me it's a computer glitch between engine and system. I'm concern it may cause a problem on the road.

The basic issue is unintended acceleration. I reported this issue four (4) separate times to the local Toyota dealer in my area: 1/20/2020 - 5/2/2020 - 9/28/2020 and most recently on 6/13/2022. The most recent incident resulted in an accident whereby I backed into a building while parking and caused more than $5,000 damage. All incidents were reported to and investigated by two (2) different Toyota dealers in my area: simi valley, CA and thousand oaks, CA. The investigation resulted in no findings and to this point in time, fortunately, no one was a hurt nor was there another vehicle involved - yet. Just a few days ago - 10/31/22 - my wife and I were in this same vehicle running errands when this happened again. While coming to a stop at an intersection, the accelerator raced while I had my foot on the brake. It was only because I reacted as quickly as I did that we did not become involved in an accident. I was able to quickly shift the vehicle into neutral until the engine revving subsided after several seconds. Had I not, both my wife and I would have certainly been injured or worse by cross traffic. This issue cannot be predicted and the analysis that has been performed thus far both by Toyota and aaa has uncovered no detectable problem - as I understand it - because this only occurs when the vehicle is moving at about 5-10 mph (decelerating) in preparation to come to a stop. This issue makes operating this vehicle highly unsafe and I cannot allow anyone else to operate the vehicle because of my fear that it will happen again. I just don't know when.

The car shudders in lower gear while accelerating. Engine, steering wheel and the whole car vibrates at lower speed.
Had fuel pumped replaced in Aug 2020 on my 2019 Toyota Camry xse out of precaution due to a recall. Fast forward to today Aug. 2022, I have had issues the last week & a half. Iv taken my car into Toyota dealership 3 times and they still can’t figure out the problem. When starting my car, it stalls, sputters, vibrates, and or dies after a few seconds, as well as every warning light going off, and very low mpg when it is drivable. At one point I was getting 7mpg and car wouldn’t go above 15mph. I told Toyota I believed it was due to a bad fuel pump, they told me it was replaced 2 yrs ago, therefore that can’t be the issue. I mention that maybe they replaced my fuel pump w/an original fuel pump rather than the newer fuel pump that was suppose to correct the problem. The mechanics response was “it’s possible”. Still w/o a car to drive while Toyota tries to figure out the problem. A couple days prior they said it was fixed, picked up my car and as soon as I pulled out onto the main road, my car started to vibrate and sputter again. Hoping this time they will at least check to see if it is indeed the fuel pump.
I got a recall for fuel pump and this was fixed by Toyota delaership but wasnet updated on the website.
For the past few months I have experienced a sudden loss of power while driving on the freeway and/or while attempting to accelerate. The car will stall, lose power, the engine will rev but not propel the car. I took my vehicle to the dealership twice before they acknowledged that there was an active recall and kept my vehicle for 2 months before calling me and telling me my car was fixed and returning it to me. I drove the car for about a month before it started doing the exact same thing and suddenly losing power as I was driving on the freeway. I took it back to the dealership and was told that the recall part they fixed (that took 2 months) was for safety recall #21ta09 "sudden loss of power braking assist" and that the Toyota 2018-19 fuel pump defect recall #20ta02 announced in January of 2020 and ultimately effecting approximately 3. 34 million vehicles did not apply to my specific VIN # even though it applies to the year, make, model and issue that I am having. This is a serious safety issue and I am gravely concerned about my own safety and that of any potential passengers I may have in my vehicle. I would like to know what criteria would be necessary to have equitable application of the recall extended to my vehicle (VIN #).
