Catalytic converter failed and replaced by dealership under service campaign at 69,811 miles has now failed again at 152,000 miles. Toyota notified at they declined to provide repair again at there expense. I had a Honda go 250,000 and never have a problem with the converter. There has to be an inherent problem in the one in my Toyota Corolla !! also other recall on airbags they do not have parts to fix.

There is no incident, just a consumer complaint. I have two outstanding safety recalls on this vehicle. 15v043 dated 1/27/15 and 15v285 dated 6/10/14. Neither of these recalls has a remedy yet and that is very disturbing. Especially the one a year old. We can't park the car, need it for transportation so we drive it in an unsafe condition. What if we desire to sell the car? two outstanding recalls certainly affect the price. It is my opinion that Toyota has dropped the ball in getting a remedy for these recalls. It is the responsibility of the nthsa to hold them accountable and have a remedy in a timely fashion. Thank you for taking my complaint and please forward it to those who can get something done with the recalls and Toyota.

01/28/13 received notice of takata air bag recall but stated my vehicle not effected. 01/28/15 received 2nd notice stating not only was my vehicle effected but warned against use of passenger seat. . Next letter rec'd 03/28/15 informed of upcoming resolution. 5/04/15 took vehicle to bedford Toyota, bedford, OH; only to be told 'part not available'. I am 88 yrs old. I managed to survive wwii, working for the united states postal service, I even recovered from a major stroke. Why am I being placed in a position of anxiety, fear and stress? the defect is described as a matter of 'deterioration' of material over time. That means both the driver and passenger are at risk. I dutifully demand my passenger(s) usually a family member use the rear seat but that provides no assurance to the driver. Buying a new vehicle isn't an answer since takata supplies them as well. Life may not be fair but takata nor Toyota have any right to jeopardize my life. I need someone to take some positive action to resolve my problem. I look forward to hearing from you ASAP. Thank you.

I received 2 safety recalls within a couple of days of each other having to do with airbags deploying without warning and pieces exploding with deployment. I checked the recall dates and one was dated June of 2014, the other January of 2015. Both suggest it is not safe to have people sitting in the seat and both have suggested that a remedy is not available for my car at this time. The Toyota dealers have no idea when there will be a remedy available for my car. What exactly does Toyota expect me to do - buy a new car and let this one sit? Toyota is using the language in the recall to try to cover their behinds if someone gets hurt. I'm sorry, but that is bs. I will never buy another Toyota product again and I will make sure everyone I know hears what I have to say about it. Let me know when the class action lawsuit gets started. I'll sign up immediately.
