2009 Toyota Corolla le driver's side rearview mirror has significant distortion and does not present a clear view of the road behind. Very difficult, especially at night, to judge where vehicles are. Mirror appears to be slightly concave. Called dealership, was told this was an intentional "magnification" feature. Per 49 cfr 571. 111, drivers side mirrors on cars sold in the us must have unit magnification, I. E. They must be flat. I cannot find any exemption for Toyota. Dealership claims it is impossible to repair this problem.

2 Interior Rearview Mirror problem of the 2003 Toyota Corolla

Failure Date: 07/22/2003

2003 Toyota Corolla le model leased on 7/21/03. Driver's side sun visor, when lowered, will block a great part of the inside rear view mirror. This impairs visibility on the vehicle's rear, left side and creates a huge blind spot.

2003 Toyota Corolla surged, hitting brand new washer in garage, surged again, running up planter curb hitting tree. Taken to Toyota dealer both times without success. Dealer said they could not duplicate scenario. Why so many people having same problem yet Toyota saying there is nothing they can do? also, have problem with vehicle dropping out of overdrive, rearview mirror problem with visor. So much for the saying; "you won't get a lemon at Toyota of orange". I'm happy to say I haven't had the sulfur smell.

4 Interior Rearview Mirror problem of the 2003 Toyota Corolla

The driver's side sun visor knocked the rear view mirror out of alignment. This occurred every time the driver pulled the visor down or pushed it back up. The consumer learned that the original rear view mirror is removed at the port and replaced with a larger after market mirror that has built in map lights.
