Well I just buy a Toyota Corolla 2014 on 10/14/2013 and the windshield just crack the car was on my drive way the car was park and when I was living my place and I got in to my car I saw a crack on the windshield so im thinking who did the happen from no where so I went on line I google I found all this complains about Toyota windshield cracking for no reason . I call the dealer and told them what happen and ask them about the price and the windshield its 900 and the installation is 300 . So think the windshield is a very poor quality because if its just not my car and the windshield cracks over and over some thing it's wrong with the material and its not safe at and what's I think they should make the windshield more safe. Can you please fin this .

The air conditioning condenser is mounted in front of the radiator and is not protected from road debris in any measure. Once hit by a small rock or similar item the condenser has to be replaced for about $600. A service bulletin issued by Toyota advises installation of a deflector shield which comes with the replacement condenser from the dealer. Simple correction of this problem is installation of a deflector shield before the problem arises. Air conditioning is a possible hazard in hotter areas of our country as will as the condenser does not work when using defrost or defogging on the windshield which is a sight hazard. My 2008 Toyota has a distorted unclear and wavy windshield. It is unsafe. The selling and the servicing dealers must abide by the field service technician who said that it is not a defect because the other new cars on the lot also had wavy windshields. The dealer stated that the laminate caused the failure. As of March 17, 2008, the dealer had not repaired the vehicle. They stated that all of the windshields for this year make and model are manufacturer's this way. I bought a new 2006 Toyota Corolla. The windshield was distorted with wavy areas in the glass. While driving, objects traveling across the field of glass would ripple. I had headaches, eye aching, and eye strain when tracking signs and objects through the glass. A Toyota dealer admitted the windshield was defective and replaced the glass. The replacement windshield was distorted. Toyota admitted that it was defective and replaced it a second time. The second replacement windshield had distortion. Toyota again said it was distorted, and the service director at my local dealer had it replaced a third time. The third replacement windshield has a distortion defect. Showing the third replacement windshield to the service manager at my local dealer, he said they would order me a new windshield. Then a new service director stepped in and blocked the order, saying the glass was normal and there was no problem. How can a Toyota-trained service manager admit the problem and recommend a replacement windshield, but then the service director steps in to say that the glass is normal. Meanwhile, I looked at other 2006 Toyota Corollas at 3 different dealers in PA & NY. New Corollas at all the dealers had distorted windshields. I wrote down VIN #s of four Corollas with windshield distortion: 2tbr32e06c70xxxx; 2t1br30e57c71xxxx; 2t1br32e06c55xxxx; 2t1br32e56c55xxxx. A friend stopped at a Toyota lot on the west coast and found 3 Corollas with similar distortions: VIN #s: 1nxbr30e97z77xxxx; 1nxbr30e27z77xxxx; and jtdbr32e77010xxxx. This is a widespread problem in windshields of 2006 Corollas. This is a safety issue. The inability to see clearly through a distorted windshield puts drivers at risk for accident. Who is testing the quality of Toyota glass to ensure that it meets optical specifications and visual safety standards? this needs to be investigated to protect the public from the dangers of distorted glass.

Drivng at 30mph in no construction no construction equipment around, no chip in windshield no previous crack. Noticed while driving a small crack develop on windshield next to the right molding toward the bottom. Instantly it traveled staight across all the way over to the left side window molding. The window itself feels brittle like junk! ive been driving for over 40 years and had many different cars in many different conditions, and never have I seen a crack shoot across my windshield when nothing hit it, or had no previous crack.

Window frame was cracked at the center of window, no sign of impact. Problem occurred the first hot day after being cold for several days. Dealer notified, and refused to make any adjustment. Please feel free to provide any further details on this matter.
