The vehicle was in motion on freeway taking my grandson to practice it was heavy traffic alot of breaking every time I would break my breaks felt like they would lock everytime I would break. I got concern got off freeway called dealer to inspect my brakes. Results they discovered my rotors were warp and that was the cause recomended I replace rotors but did not find reason how rotors got that way. Other issue my cv axles right and left front wheels are clicking loud every time I make a turn they sound like they are going to come apart, this was also discovered at inspectionwhen brakes were inspected. I have never wreck this car , I have never gone over any curbs or exc I am a careful driver look at my driving record. I cannot drive car in this condition . Tthis car has defualted parts and are malfunctioning it is in dangering me driving it . My request is for Toyota corp to repair this now before any accident happens as a result of these parts that are defaulted.
Tl-the contact owns a 2010 Toyota Corolla. The contact stated that while driving down an incline approximately 30 mph, the vehicle began to pull into the left direction independently. The failure recurred two times. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was unavailable. Js.
The right front of the vehicle hit a stationary vehicle on its left rear, at 25 plus mph, with no advance braking. Driver experienced full sun blindness. Naturally the quarter panels were destroyed, but the damage included the suspension, wheel universal, car doors were pushed together, and there was even a rumble on the roof. Car totaled. No air bags ever deployed. This said, the driver was unscathed and the alignment was still good. The issue given that the doors were pushed together, there was a rumple in the roof, both tires were deflated, and the universal and axels would have to be replaced (this was the minimum identified damage), this seems like a significant impact.
Suspensions no good the reason why I say that about the suspensions is because the car shakes when I go in and out the car he can feel it and bounces,. . . . When I turn on the ac since day one I bought the car the car only has 13000 miles on it the car shakes real bad when the compressor turns off and to have the car cool already inside the car don't shake but I soon as I can put them back on the car shake like if it's going to break down when it comes on and off cool the car inside out shakes and then stop right away but as soon as the car is hot inside and it takes time for it to cool down the car shakes with the ac on ac off it don't shake it all 2015 Toyota Corolla le. . . . . I have taking the car to the dealer so may time all readyi have asked friends with the same car they same the s same thing that the shocks and I'm good and the car vibrates when the ac is on that they also have taken to the dealer and the dealer does nothing.

I was driving at about 20-25 mph when I felt the sterring wheel get out of control I tried to steer it in the right direction but it just steered to the right and at the moment the steering wheel locked up and I couldnt control the car causing me to run into a side walk and almost hitting a pole also the accident caused my whole wheel and suspension to completely break also the cv drive shaft came off no one was hurt but I am really concerned that if this had happened on a highway road there could have been casualties and I want a response from Toyota and help because this is very unfortunate.
The vsc light, check engine light, traction control light all are on. Cannot get to turn off.

I was pulling into a parking space & slowing down. I turned left into the space and, of course, had my foot on the brake and my car suddenly accelerated on it's own. I kept pushing on the brake but it kept going. The higher than usual curb at the shopping center, I suppose, is what stopped the car, though my foot repeatedly kept pushing the brake. I tried to drive it home but it was not working. We had it towed to Toyota in rockwall. They had someone look at it. The person that looked at it called my home to get my story but asked my husband what took place. I didn't get the message till the next day. When I was getting ready to call him back, my husband told me that he called and said he did not need to talk to me. How can you legitimately tell me what I say happened did not happen when you haven't even talked to me. I was the only one in the car, not my husband. They checked out the "black box" I suppose and sent me a very nice letter basically telling me what I told my husband happened, did not happen. I do not lie. I was there and I know what happened. I was very disappointed in the way that this was handled. I felt like how could I even fight this, Toyota is a big corporation. I am just one person who had an incident with one of their vehicles. It would be my word against theirs. I appreciate NHTSA taking the time to hear my side of what happened. My husband and I are fans of Toyota vehicles. I have several camrys and my husband presently drives a prius and a tundra so again, we are very disappointed in the way that this was handled.

Hi, I have replaced my brakes late last year because the brakes don't engage right. Even after I replaced my brakes, I still have trouble with the brakes. Last week, I was on my way to work with my son in my car and someone cut me off with a turn into a school. I hit my brakes really hard, but it was skidding/sliding. I took my car in again for brakes check and like last time, I was told my brakes were fine. I asked the mechanic why was my car sliding/skidding. My car was diagnosed with shock/suspension issue. Which I have had all along, but didn't know it caused my brakes to not function properly. This is a safety issue. I drive very short distant to work and home and I do not abuse my car, how can this happen with such low mileage. I would like an investigation into this issue, it is safety since the car doesn't brake properly. Best, anh klingner.
I begin hearing an unexplainable noise coming from the front of my vehicle at 33,527 miles when driving slow and over speed bumps. I took the vehicle in to my local Toyota dealership (arlington Toyota) on 6/12/2013 to have the vehicle looked over. After performing a multi-point inspection, I was told there was nothing wrong with the vehicle and asked to come back if it continued to make the noise. On the ride home and up until 4/24/2014, it continued to make the same noise progressively getting worse as time went on. On 4/24/2014 I finally had enough of the noise and started to do some investigating of my own. I looked over at the portion of the struts that were visible, and found the front driver side with a greasy substance running down the strut. I took the vehicle back to the same Toyota dealership (arlington Toyota) and was again told that there was nothing wrong with the vehicle. After requiring the service manager to drive my vehicle and then tell me there was nothing wrong with it before leaving, and him actually driving it, he confirmed that it was a failed front driver side strut and would be replaced as "good will".
As I approached traffic lights, I had to apply the breaks as yellow light was on but the car was still accelerating. Even after the breaks were completely applied, it went forward. To my bad, it was a snowy day in my place and my car skidded in to the left turn lane, got crashed in to the other car. My car's front bumper, head lights and couple of other parts were replaced for which I have spent $500 out of my pocket and the remaining amount was paid by my insurance company. Luckily there were no injuries to me, my 7 month pregnant wife and the other car driver. Obviously my insurance premium got increased, my driving history was affected and car value is decreased due to accident history. My car tires and breaks were in perfect condition when this incident happened. Now I am afraid to drive my car especially when it approaches traffic lights I feel extremely nervous. Whenever I recollect this bad moment I feel depressed. Please look into the issue. Requesting Toyota to do the needful to remove such defects from their vehicles.

While driving on bumpy roads I would hear a loud clunking noise from under the car. I asked a mechanic what it was and he said it was the struts. There is a recall on this vehicle, 2002 Toyota Corolla for that very thing. One dealer said he wouldn't fix it.

Prematurely failing: struts (repaired summer of 2013), water pump (repaired 10/15/13), brakes (repaired 10/15/13), and alternator (yet to be repaired).
2009 Toyota Corolla. Consumer writes in regards to water pump pulley disengagement and need for third set of tires on vehicle. The consumer stated he heard a noise coming from under the hood, followed by a sound of something hitting the highway. He gradually slowed down and pulled to the side of the road, raised the hood and discovered the flywheel for the water pump sitting on top of the engine. He walked back up the highway in an attempt to locate what fell from the vehicle. He gathered what he found and was loose under the hood, and had the vehicle towed to the nearest service center and had a new water pump installed. While at the service center, the brakes were serviced and a new set of tires were recommended because they were cupping. The consumer took the vehicle to another establishment to have the tires inspected. Firestone, informed the consumer the left front and rear tow was out of alignment and they adjusted the left front to correct it, but informed him, they could not make any adjustment for the rear, as there was no guarantee given that the alignment issue was the cause of the cupping. Within a week of having the new water pump installed, the consumer began to hear a clicking sound from under the hood, so he took the vehicle back to the repair shop, to determine the cause of the clicking sound. An inspection revealed the a/c compressor needed to be replaced.
Premature wear of front struts. Needed both front struts replaced at 50,000 miles. Per the service department at the dealership the front driver side strut was completely blown out.
2003 Toyota Corolla. Consumer writes in regards to the rear spring (struts) were rusted and vehicle was in danger of collapsing. A mechanic informed the consumer the struts were not coated, and that was usually done at the factory, when assembled.
The vehicle keeps bogging out. The fuel system keeps failing and the struts sound and feel like they are going to collapse.

I installed new rear struts manufactured by monro--in order to connect the brake line hose to the bracket on the strut it was necessary to twist the rubber brake hose a quarter turn to accommodate the improperly manufactured strut bracket- this causes the rubber brake hose to be twisted a quarter turn and is not as it was when originally installed at the factory- this could lead to brake line failure due to the twisted line and stress.

I would like to check and see if my vehicle had a recall. The part is called the timing chain.
I just bought a 2013 Toyota Corolla on Friday 4/12/13 and noticed while driving off the lot the steering wheel was cocked to the left a little and if straightened the car would veer to the right. I figured I would take it in next week to get fixed but wasn't too worried about it. The next night I was driving for the first time on the freeway around 65-70 mph and felt like the car was all over the road and it was very hard to keep it straight in the lane. It felt like it was really windy and the car was being pushed left and right even if I kept the wheel straight. I immediately contacted the sales manager and told him I was taking the vehicle back the next day. I brought the vehicle in and the sales manager test drove the car with me in it and he felt the same thing I felt. The car stayed overnight until service dept was open for Monday. I came to pick up the vehicle the next day and saw that the steering wheel was fixed, but once on the freeway it did the exact same thing so I took it back immediately and had the service manager test drive the vehicle, he too felt the problem and said to bring it back Wednesday because a rep from Toyota was coming and he'll have him take a look at it. The rep came out and said the vehicle was performing as standard per wind and road conditions and since it was designed to be a lightweight vehicle that it would feel like that. I told them I didn't feel safe in the vehicle and I no longer wanted it, the gm said to leave it another day until they can resolve the issue. When I came in the next afternoon I did a test drive with the gm and the car was pretty much fixed it still had the problem but was barely noticeable. They stated all they did was take the air in the tires down from 35 psi to 32 psi. They claimed that is all they did! so I told them I am satisfied for now but if the issue reoccurs I will be taking it back!.

The best way to describe how much trouble I have had gotten a new set of tires every 90-120 days since I have owned my car the shocks are always professionally installed they have broken one and then before I can get to the shop within 3 days of feeling like I am driving on square tires they start to feel like I am only on rims with in 50 hwy and interstate miles they start to come down and the tires are rubbing on the car causing the damage to the tires and the pads have broken twice I have tried different shops but the same outcome broken.

At highway speeds when there is any kind of wind (eg. Head wind, cross wind, tail wind), the vehicle is almost uncontrollable and changes direction without driver input. ***very dangerous***. Notified dealer at 5k service and was told there was too much air pressure in tires. The change of air pressure by the dealer made no difference, and I have experimented with higher, lower, and 35 psi in all four tires. Without winds, the car drives absolutely straight and stable on the same roads that I drive daily. I do not feel safe and don't believe I will keep this otherwise nice car for very long.

The contact owns a 2013 Toyota Corolla. While driving approximately 40 mph, the rear end of the vehicle began to pull to the right. The failure recurred most frequently when driving in rainy weather or snow covered roads. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer six times. A four wheel alignment and a wheel balance were performed however, the failure persisted. The manufacturer was notified of the problem. The approximate failure mileage was 100.
2011 Toyota Corolla: have had car aligned 2 times due to excessive pulling to the right, therefore tires have worn unevenly and now need to be replaced at 17,000 miles. The edges of the tires wore out before 11,000 miles. I addressed the issue to the dealership, who at first told me I had to pay for the alignment; then I was told it would be aligned under warranty. It had to be aligned a scond time due to continuous pulling to the right. The dealership says I have to pay for tires out-of-pocket, even though I think Toyota should at least pro-rate a new set of tires. Second issue is the engine running rough and unevenly. It idles rough, and since I paid to have the injectors cleaned, it gets worse gas mileage than ever. I now have the car in the dealership shop again to fix the idle. They just called and said the y had to replace and reset the engine control module. I expected the car to perform better and tires to last more than a year, as I purchased the car Dec. 2012.
I was involved in an accident that was not my fault I was in a road where the speed liimit was 25-35 mph. Mostly a straight road a few slight curves. A car came over into my lane and caused me to swerve out of the way to avoid hitting that person head on. I went into a ditch full of huge rocks. The air bags never deployed which in my opinion tfhey should had, but from what I hear it may have caused even more damage. Anyways I could not identify the car who swerved into my lane. My car was damaged it hit straight forward into the huge rocks. I was pretty sore but did not go to the er. My car had a pretty good amount of damage but luckily I was able to drive it out of the ditch. It busted up the front of my car near the passenger sided, and caused quite the damage to my front passenger tire. Normally my 5 year old daughter would had been riiding on that side. Luckily she wasn't that day.
2000 Toyota Corolla. Consumer asking for reimbursement for vehicle repairs from a recall issued for vehicle. Consumer sent additional correspondence. The consumer stated it cost $930 to replace both struts. Updated 01/22/15.
Vehicle steering has poor on-center feel. When vehicle is driven over 30 mph, the wheel can be turned an inch right or left of center and it will not return. This results in additional driver fatigue from steering corrections to overcome the dead spot near center. Bright colored and chrome trim panels near gear shift console cause distracting glare under bright sunny conditions.
The contact owns a 2010 Toyota Corolla. The contact stated while driving approximately 35 mph, the front passenger side of the vehicle began to vibrate violently. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who stated both front struts were leaking oil. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 30,000.
The contact owns a 2005 Toyota Corolla equipped with yokohama avid-ascend tires. The contact stated that while the husband was driving 65 mph, the steering wheel started to vibrate. The failure only occurred while driving at high speeds. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who diagnosed no failure. The failure continued. The vehicle was taken to the dealer for the second time and the dealer diagnosed that the failure was associated with the tires. The tires were replaced, but the failure continued. The tire manufacturer was notified and agreed to replace the tires. The failure continued to occur at high speeds. . . Updated 08/21/2012 updated 08/23/12.

I purchases a new 2012 Toyota Corolla this year. On (first day) the way home from the dealer I noticed the vehicle tends to sway in the freeway. It feels similar to driving on a windy day. I am concerned about the safety of the vehicle. I have taken the vehicle to the dealer two times, however, the problems still persists. What rights does the customer have in these types of circumstances?.
The accident happened @. Walmart rte 6 north dartmouth,MA ,parking lot. I don't know how this happened pulling into a parking space, the car sped up went over and across a 4 foot island with shrubs and on top of the hood of another Corolla.
