I'm an owner of a 2003 Toyota Matrix and my engine has the famous sludge issue related to past Toyota autos of recent years. I don't have all my receipts (I really almost never save them) for maintenance but I have a few. . . Well, Toyota is refusing the warranty and I'm starting to see more complaints about possible engine problems with the car! my car has 36,000 miles on it and is still under warranty and just today I've been told the engine can't be saved! I'm livid and feel that there is something else wrong causing these issues but Toyota isn't saying either way. I'm retaining a lawyer and possibly dropping the car if this issue isn't addressed! there are 4 similar complaints on the NHTSA site already and I be we see more as these models cross the 24k mile marker!.
