The brake light constantly goes on and off. Trac off, vsc trac and check engine lights all come on. A loud rattling noise coming from the front end of vehicle and vibration when starting up the vehicle. Engine will not accelerate randomly while driving and the trac control light goes on at the same time. I first experienced this while going up a mountain and needed to turn around because my vehicle started to decelerate even with the gas completely floored. I noticed that there are a lot of complaints for the same issue. Is Toyota waiting for a death to happen before they do something. This is a family vehicle and I'm transporting my 2 and 5 year old. Something needs to be done about this before something tragic happens!!.
Brake lights have been coming on and off for about three months. On 05/6/12 the engine began making a whining noise which sounded like the fan. Turned on and off the car three times and the whining sound went away. Next day same problem then the check engine, vsc track &trac off lights came on. Took it to Toyota dealer who is quoting a price of $3k to fix. I am noticing quite a number of these same complaints is this a recall issue for Toyota?.
