The srs warning light on my 2006 Toyota Sienna went on. On checking with Toyota service, I was told that it would cost me $624/- to fix the problem. They had reported that there was a b0111 (opening in switch core error) that happened. This is a safety issue with the Toyota Sienna and must be part of a factory recall. There are numerous other folks with similar complaints on the Toyota Sienna 2006 model. . Read more...
The airbag light had come on and off for months until Toyota dealership fixed it 2 1/2 yrs ago; the light is back on again and was told I could not get my van inspected with out it fixed. This is a defect with the 2006 Siennas - there is no reason the air bag lights should be on. The sliding passenger rear door stopped working- door would not close - had to turn off electronic switch and have to slam the door to keep it closed. This is an extreme safety hazard for passengers. Toyota has issued a service call on this but there is something drastically wrong with 2006 Toyota Siennas. On 10/14/2011 I filed a complaint with NHTSA about this and it took almost 2 years to address this problem. Run flat tires wore out early, replaced but had a lot of flats and adding air to tires weekly. Run flat rims were not true and had to replace rims and tires . I am the only owner of this vehicle.
Front passenger airbag / light 1. The front passenger airbag light repeated is switched to the "off" position when an adult of average size and weight is seated in the passenger seat. 2. We often have to manually plug/unplug the wires underneath the seat to reset the airbag to switch to the "on" position, but this does not always work. We have not yet taken it to a dealership to have this corrected.
The passenger side air bag will not enable ( ie air bag is turned off ) when a 100 pound passenger sits in the passenger seat.

Air bags are my complaint. I just purchsed a new Toyota van with air bags. We have 4 children under 9 years of age and we car pool. The fron seat is useless due to the airbag. No Toyota dealer in s. C. Will install an on/off switch due to liability concerns. I live in columbia s. C. No one in columbia will do this on a Toyota. I need someone to install the on/off switch. And another thing. I need someone to do this at a reasonable price in my local area. Requiring airbags for safety is fine, but I have got to have the on/off switch. Please advise where I can get a siwtch installed in columbia s. C. . . . And have a nice day. . .
