My 2006 Toyota Sienna has an intermittent airbag warning lamp appear off and on. I have received numerous notifications from the manufacturer regarding various recalls which have usually been dismissed as unnecessary from the various dealers when I brought the vehicle in for inspection. I have not brought the vehicle to the dealer for the airbag warning light. I am concerned about the safety of this vehicle since Toyota has been mostly non-compliant when it comes to performing warranty or safety related issues with their vehicles. At least that has been my personal experience. It took the threat of disciplinary action from the u. S. Congress to get a response from the ceo of Toyota to attend a hearing on vehicle safety issues, so I have no faith in Toyota taking responsibility.

2009 Toyota Sienna with 134k mileage has srs warning light on all of a sudden and stays on. Toyota dealer would charge me for diagnosing and charge me if any further jobs need to be done. Shouldn't this be recalled and handled without any charge to owners as it's matter of safety issue?.

The airbags warning light intermittently turns on and flashes. You notice it seconds after the car is started. If I wiggle the wires under the passenger seat, it sometimes goes away. Then it shows up again. . . And again.

Takata recall airbag warning light came on while driving on highway. Had diagnostic scan ran and found code for squib cable or clock spring is bad. Car is only five years old with a little over 60k miles. This cable is manufacturer built for this specific van and cost almost $700! I came in for a recall on my takata passenger airbags and wound up dropping more money! I have waited for almost a week for recall. Now I'm waiting longer for this replacement.

System is presenting airbag warning codes b0111 & b0116. These codes mean that we have to spend $3000-4000 to replace the airbags and wiring harnesses for the driver and passenger sides. This is completely out if the blue because a warning light came on. The vehicle is otherwise in great shape and has never been in an accident.
Vehicle was stationary on a city street. Srs warning light suddenly began blinking. Vehicle has never been involved in a collision.
Airbag warning light came on and is blinking for the last couple of weeks.
I was driving the car all day. Made a stop at a grocery store. When I started the car back up the air bag warning light came on.
2006 Sienna le airbag warning light keeps flashing.
My 2006 Sienna airbags unpredictably become non-functional. That is, the warning light goes on and off at unpredictable intervals. I am told by the dealer service representatives that the airbags are non-functional (I. E. , system shut down) when the warning light is flashing. This is a severe safety concern to me for the sake of my family. It is galling since the airbag system was a major selling point of the car. An estimate repairs by dealer is $1100 apparently included replacing whole airbag system. I do not understand why DE owner has to respond for a secure system that never had used, and why the manufacturer not warns that the air bag system will degrade over time. The van is in motion on a city.
Airbag warning light on intermittently sometimes days other times months. Noted numerous complaints on the internet from other Toyota owners dealer squawks the wiring harness and airbag. Very unreliable safety protection.
Airbag warning light continually goes off. This is a safety issue and needs a recall.

The srs warning light comes on and off intermittently. I have read many online forums and this seems to be a common problem. I am hoping a recall will be issued for the safety of my family and all the other families out there with similar issues. I am usually able to fix it by jiggling the wiring under the driver and passenger seats.
Air bag warning light started flashing indicating a problem with the side air bags. My internet research reveals that this is a very common problem with the 2006 Toyota Sienna, Toyota has issued two technical service bulletins but they refuse to correct the problem with out making extensive charges to their customers. My vehicle has been through normal use and never in an accident.
The air bag warning light started flashing.
Airbag warning light has been on since approximately mid July 2014. I received a warranty enhancement notice from Toyota (regarding a side airbag connector may have been improperly manufactured in 2006 Sienna) which requested that I contact a Toyota dealership to determine if this condition is covered by the warranty enhancement "at no charge to you" particularly if the airbag light is on. When I called two different dealerships to check the vehicle, both dealerships told me I had to pay over $100 for the testing. The second dealership said they would cover the fee for the testing only and if the problem was the one listed on the warranty-but I would not know that until after the testing was done-so they would charge me for the screening after the testing ruled out a side airbag connector issue-over $100. I called the Toyota number listed on the warranty several times and spoke with Toyota representatives but they ultimately stated my issue was with the dealership-not Toyota. They refused to put me through to a supervisor only "colleagues". I do not think I should pay anything to be screened for this issue and when I reread the warranty that is what it clearly indicates-" no charge".
Airbag warning light came on without apparent cause. We took it in to Toyota dealer, they said they replaced the passenger side airbag harness , but could not complete repair, airbag warning light still on. Toyota still waiting for another plug to repair 2 months later. Very serious issue as they said airbags will not work properly.

Around 150,000 miles, my airbag warning light started blinking on my dash. It has turned itself off a couple of times but then came back on. There doesn't seem to be a reason for it to turn on or off.
Last week, the airbag warning light started flashing constantly while the car is running. A quick read of the owner's manual indicates a problem with the side or curtain airbags. More research on the internet indicates that this is a common problem with Siennas from 2006. This is a safety issue, and should be addressed by Toyota on a wide scale basis. My car is like new, not used much, never been in an accident and has 23000 miles. It is inexcusable for this to happen, and more inexcusable for the consumer to have to pay to fix it, considering that this appears to be a common safety issue with these cars. Please force Toyota to issue a recall, to deal with this problem fairly, for affected owners.
Srs warning light stays solid on.
The airbag warning light on my 2007 Sienna started flashing. The Toyota dealer diagnosed the problem as a failure in the wiring harness of the airbag system under the driver's seat. The dealer installed updated air bag connectors and pig-tail harness as per TSB. Dealer's charge: $337. 39. A review of the NHTSA database of complaints for this model and year shows 12 similar complaints out of a total of 173, as of 9/12/2013. Given the critial nature of this equipment, the need for it to operate in an emergency and the frequency of this failure it should be considered a safety issue. The manufacturer should either recall affected vehicles or make this repair at no cost to the owner.

The contact owns a 2007 Toyota Sienna. The contact stated that while driving 40 mph, the air bag warning light illuminated intermittently. The vehicle was not repaired and the manufacturer was not notified. The VIN was not available. The approximate failure mileage was 65,000.
The air bag warning light came on. I took it to the dealer. They said the airbag doesn't not work now and they are blaming in on a wiring issue, not an air bag issue. They want me to pay $220 to install a new spiral cable, but give me the part for free. This doesn't make sense. The Toyota tacoma trucks had the same issue and they had a recall.

Air bag warning light goes on and off. Seems to be a connection issue.
Airbag warning light came on - third time since we purchased this vehicle new.
Airbag indicator warning light flashes continuously. Jiggled wires under front passenger seat a year ago, and the warning light quit flashing for a couple months. But then it started flashing again about six months ago. A warranty enhancement notification - ztx was received from Toyota a few days ago. Local dealer said that diagnosis would take two hours & cost $130. Read on the internet to try disconnecting the yellow wire (airbag sensor) under the front passenger seat and wait 15 seconds. Tried that and the flashing light has gone off again. This yellow connector pin and wiring should be fully replaced by Toyota under a full recall so that this doesn't become a recurring, regular issue for Sienna owners.

In June 2012 first srs warning light appeared while driving family out of town. On 6/20/2012 vehocle was taken to Toyota dealer and was repaied. Cause : replace passenger airbag assembly. In August 2012, airbag warning light (srs) came back and the vehicle was taken to Toyota dealer and was repaired. Cause, code el1110, replacing the harness. In November 2012 the srs light came back and the vehicle was taken to Toyota again. The cause was again code el1110, needing replacement of harness. Since harness was just recently replaced, the repair technician verofied every pin on the connector and found some pins not making good contact and repaired the problem. On April 3, 2013 the srs warning light is on yet again! plan to take the car to Toyota dealer again but I am getting suspicious that there may be a larger more serious problem hidden in the airbag system of this vehicle. Fortunate to extended warranty, I had not been charged for past repairs, but it was in thousands of dollars. My warranty is to expire shortly and I feel I will be dealing with this life threatening isuue should Toyota not investigate and find a sound solution or provide a recall on srs system for this vintage vehicle.

Air bag warning light came on signifying a system failure. This is a chronic issue with 2006 Siennas, regardless of mileage. Seems to be more a matter of time.
