2013 Toyota Tacoma. Consumer writes in regards to wheel alignment issues. The consumer stated there was a severe vibration, coming from the front of the vehicle. According to the invoice, the vibration was coming from the driveline, due to the different angles of the lift, and the only way to correct the issue, would be to remove the lift and return it to stock height.

This is the 3rd or 4th time my rear end in my 2005 Toyota Tacoma has blown. Everytime I have a problem with Toyota and it reaches three complaints or repairs they deny the claim so it doesn't go against their incidents for recalls. The last rear end went in approx 4000 miles ago from rohrich Toyota. Someone really should investigate the practices that Toyota and their dealerships have. I have 77000 miles and an extender warranty 10 year 100000 warranty the oem just ran out but I'm still within my mileage and age.

Vibration during accelerations. Feels like a drive line out of balance. Have had it to wilsonville oregon dealer twice, and mention it to them every time I go in. They test drive every time and say there is no issue. Also have one tire that always leaks down, dealer can't seem to fix.

The contact owns a 2008 Toyota Tacoma. While driving approximately 25 mph during icy conditions, the differential gear broke causing the vehicle to slide off the road. The vehicle crashed into a ditch and the windshield and turn signal were damaged. The contact did not report any injuries or if a police report was filed. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer where the differential gear was replaced under the warranty. The windshield and turn signal had not been repaired. The current and failure mileages were unknown.
2009 Toyota Tacoma gas pedal stuck on freeway on our 16 year old son. We had taught him from seeing Toyota on the news to put it in neutral and get to the side of the road, which he did successfully. The truck was towed to thousand oaks Toyota, they stated nothing was wrong and asked for my son to "drive it with a technician and try to replicate the problem". We sold it back to them, lost $8500 dollars, the dealer was unhelpful and other imho rude and Toyota corporate 800 number didn't answer after 5 attempts and 3 hours on the phone. We are extremely upset about this.

When coming to a stop the rear end makes a cluck noise and it feels like your struck from behind. This happens every time I come to a complete stop. The dealer says its normal for this truck.
Transmission fails to go into gear. This is a common problem with the aisin ay6 6-speed manual transmission in the Tacoma from what I see on internet forums. A danger results in crossing an intersection, merging or many other unforeseen incidents where it is nearly impossible to get the transmission into the next gear. In my case, it is particularly difficult for the 1-2, 2-3 shifts and reverse. I have taken my truck to Toyota numerous times and in short was more or less told to "take a hike" and sometimes in a manner than was not the most pleasant means. Throwout bearing also squeaks since brand new (TSB posted?), and Toyota's only action is to replace it with another bearing that will only squeak again anyway. I do not get why I have to constantly take a truck that is barely driven in for a complaint. Something is not right, I (we) paid for a Toyota and their reputation, but this was my last purchase from Toyota ever. It seems that to get anything replaced on every vehicle affected by these profound issues, that someone must die again as with the gas pedal incidents.

Powertrain (front differential) front vibration around 30~45mph. The vibration goes away when 4wd is engaged. Other owners have claimed premature wear on front differential bearings (driver side).
Both seals in the rear differential of my 2007 Toyota Tacoma failed and had to be replaced. The leaking oil also required replacement of the brakes. The vehicle only had 52,000 miles at the time.
My 2007 Toyota Tacoma 4x4 crew cab surges/accelerates forward . When stopped with brake applied several times vehicle has accelerated forward. Also after gas is applied vehicle surges. I almost it a truck and a person walking in front of my truck. Dealership mike ferrell Toyota in champmanville wv refused to give me a rental then I went home-vehicle had to be towed to dlr. Dlr didn't disclose surging concern-I found out on internet.
The Toyota Tacoma had a rear axle wrap up, this was where the two piece driveshaft becomes loose at the spleen and caused a clung or looseness in the drive line, which caused undue stress on the engine and the transmission, which could cause the driveshaft to break at the yoke and fall to ground, causing an accident. This was getting progressively worse on the truck. I have taken the car under warranty to the dealer. They dismissed it as normal. This was not normal. It was a flaw in the springs they used on the truck.

Truck "surges" forward when at a complete stop. Truck also exhibits vibration in the drivetrain at low speeds/ low rpms this is constant and recurring since I bought my vehicle. 2007 Toyota Tacoma double cab.
When driving at high speeds (above 50 mph) there is a whining coming from the drivetrain. I have an 06 Tacoma reg. Cab with 4x4 & 5 speed with less than 500 miles. Truck has made the noise since purchase date. Service tech thought noise was normal or may go away eventually. I then test drove a duplicate truck off dealer lot with service tech & there was no whining. They then conceited that it was not normal. They have replaced the transmission, transfer case & driveshaft with no results. Fortunately dealer does recognize the problem however they can not give a solution. Dealer has provided me with loaner car while problem is being worked, but they have had the truck 24 days of the approx. 70 days I have owned truck.
My 2006 Toyota Tacoma makes a loud clanking noise upon takeoff. The noise comes from the rear of the truck. A representative from the dealership states that this is normal for the Tacoma. If true, this is not good news.
I have a 2005 Toyota Tacoma trd 4x4 they have replaced my front wheel bearings 6 times know my front diff, the transmission once and my rear end.
When coming to a stop, after releasing the brake to move foward there is a jolt, (sometimes so severe you would think you where hit from behind) other times it is minor. It has occurred since when I purchased my vehicle about a year ago. Have been told that it is a common issue with the double cab, with a two part drive shaft.
