Head on collision driving 40-45 mph - a mercedes pulled out in front of me and I slammed into their vehicle. My air bags did not deploy nor was there auto braking system. The crash indicator also did not call the police. My car is totaled. There is no way this vehicle is not part of your recent recalls. I was injured by the seat belt and have chest pain- this could have been avoided had my air bags deployed.

Small rock flipped up by car in front of me, hitting the windshield. Windshield immediately cracked about 21". Have owned many cars with rock chipped windshields, but none have ever cracked immediately, or as badly, as this car! this pebble should have left maybe a small chip. Looked online, and other Venza owners are reporting the same thing. Glass or design is a problem.
I was driving down the street when I hear a pebble, rubble, hit my windshield. I didn’t think too much of it as that happens from time to time while I’m driving in any vehicle. When I reached the stop light I peeked over and saw a crack of near 12 inches coming from the passenger side to the center of the windshield. I cannot understand how driving at slow speeds on a street and having a pebble hit your windshield cause such damage. I stepped out of my vehicle to inspect and you can see the small area where the pebble hit.
2013 Venza pasenger side and back leak very bad when it rains.

My 2022 Toyota Venza hybrid experienced a sudden acceleration when I was pulling very slowly into my relative's garage driveway while my foot was still on the brake pedal. It crashed into the garage door at fairly high speed severely damaging the vehicle's front end. All front airbags were deployed. The garage door was destroyed and the two cars parked inside the garage were bumped a short distance forward resulting multiple damages to their front/rear bumpers and their bodies. The wall inside the garage was also damaged. No alarm/warnings were given and autobrake completely failed to deploy.
I heard a crack on my windshield. There were no other vehicles in front or beside me that may have thrown a rock into my windshield. A day later, I noticed a crack in my windshield that is approximately 10" long extending from the base of the windshield on the passenger side up and towards the middle of the windshield. There seems to be no reason for the crack to have developed. In researching this issue on line, it appears that there have been many complaints about unexplained windshield cracks with the 2021 Venza.
This car is 1. 5 years old and this will be the third windshield replacement. Ether nothing hit the windshield or if something did, it was so small and there is a 8 inch crack starting from bottom center side of passenger windshield. The last replacement was only 6 months ago. This glass is either defective or is so weak it continues to crack.
The outside mirrors did not open, maybe weather related. The outside temperature registered 15 degrees or lower. In pennsylvania and other states require outside mirrors for the deaf and hard of hearing. Two dual mirrors are required, placing disabled drivers, passengers, pedestrians and other drivers at risk. There should be a recall on vehicles with similar mirrors that automatically do not open. John ramos.
Dear NHTSA, I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to bring to your attention a matter of significant concern regarding water leakage in my vehicle, which I believe has the potential to compromise the safety and functionality of the car's electronic systems. I would like to submit this report to the national highway traffic safety administration (NHTSA) to ensure that appropriate measures are taken to address and rectify this issue promptly. During the rainy season, I have observed water leaks occurring on both sides of the front section of my vehicle. This water infiltration has raised serious concerns about the possibility of damage to the car's computer system, thereby posing a potential risk of car malfunction. The electronic components of modern vehicles, including vital control units and sensors, are susceptible to water damage. In the event of such damage, there is a heightened risk of malfunctions that could compromise the overall safety and performance of the vehicle. Furthermore, I have identified an additional water leakage issue through the panoramic roof at the backside of the car. This raises the likelihood of water seeping into the interior of the vehicle, potentially damaging interior components, electrical wiring, and compromising the structural integrity of the car. I am reaching out to the NHTSA with the intention of highlighting the severity of these issues and advocating for a comprehensive investigation into the water leakage concerns in my vehicle model. I believe that swift action is necessary to prevent any potential safety hazards that may arise from compromised electronic systems or structural damage due to water infiltration. In light of the safety implications associated with water damage to the vehicle's electronic components, I urge the NHTSA to initiate a thorough examination of this matter. Your prompt attention to this matter is crucial in ensuring the safety of drivers and passengers who may be affected by similar issues.

I have had to replace the windshield 5 times in the last two years. The windshield cracks with just the slightest impact to the windshield from small debris on the highway that should not typically damage the windshield in such a way. All replacement windshields have been ordered directly from Toyota and all have had this issue.
Front window screen cracked from bottom right corner to center.
On 10/24/22, I was stopped in traffic at the lower end of a hill. This was in arlington, TX on lamar st. Near collins traveling east. Although I was using my brakes as we were at a red light, the car started accelerating forward. It would not stop with further brake usage or trying to put the car into park position. I hit the car in front of me gently. Not seeing any damage, and because the other driver did not feel the impact, I did not report the incident to the insurance company. I do not know if it was a brake problem or other problem. I recently purchased the car after my Toyota camry was totaled at the end of July 2022. However, that car had a similar problem in another accident that was reported to my allstate agent.

I received a call from the Toyota service department during a routine oil change. They indicated that I had severe rodent damage throughout my car. After doing my own research, I found numerous complaints of similar nature with Toyota vehicles due to the soy based wiring they use. It creates a safety hazard as rodents (mice) are attracted to the wiring and create nests within the vehicle. My cost to fix the problem was over $4,500 that my insurance covered, but I still had to pay my deductible. The job took approximately 3-4 weeks and I was without a vehicle. The dealership nor the Toyota representative would do anything for me. The car was only a year old. I’ve never had anything like this happen to any new vehicles I have purchased. It seems to be a serious issue with other Toyota vehicles and can be hazardous.
Driving local freeway, 65 degrees and sunny, light traffic. . . . Loud impact sound but no cars in our immediate vicinity, nothing in the roadway. Once stopped, examined car and found the large panoramic sunroof had spontaneously exploded. Sunroof cover was in place so no glass fell into passenger compartment, thankfully. Pictures available. No inspection by dealer or insurance. No prior indications of any issues. No weather extremes at the time. No impact from any external or internal object could be found. Remaining glass in sunroof bulges upwards slightly.

Windshield cracked 8 inches when a small object hit it. U want even traveling close behind any vehicle. It was on a surface street and not the freeway.
Windshield crack development possibly from an unnoticed very small impact. On August 13, 2022 we noticed a crack from center passenger side bottom edge arcing up and towards the driver side. No impact was ever noticed, heard, or seen. Upon close inspection there appears to possibly be a small/micro impact point that should not result in the development of a crack. This affects safety due to visibility issues. Insurance claim filed but not inspected or repaired.
As I attempted to turn left in the parking lot of a strip mall with several restaurants, my engine suddenly revved and accelerated and despite pumping the brakes several times I could not slow it down or stop it. As a result I slammed into a concrete berm, kept going and crashed through the glass doors of a coffee shop/restaurant, continued on and the car did not stop until it hit a metal counter. Fortunately I was not hurt, nor did I kill anyone, although I was told two workers went to the hospital with bruises and lacerations on their legs. Since I was unable to stop the car, not only was my life at risk, but anyone who crossed my path or who was in the coffee shop could have been crushed. The police came, made a report and had my car towed to their impound lot. The problem has not been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center as of yet. . My insurer will have the car towed to a preferred repairer and they will inspect the car to determine whether it's repairable. I have asked them to check what made the car suddenly accelerate. I was informed at the police lot that they expect the car will be towed and inspected on Monday, 7/18/22. The accident occurred on 7/14/22. The vehicle has not yet been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representative or others. There were no warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure. The vehicle is available for inspection upon request.
I came out to get in my vehicle and observed a large crack beginning in the heat band along the bottom of the windshield. I was not aware of anything that hit my windshield to cause such a significant crack. After observing where the crack begins, it appears to have just split and cracked. A clear point of impact is not apparent.
Windshield just cracked with nothing hitting it. It literally just split from the bottom and is getting worse with only 24 hours.
Windshield crack. Known that 2021 Venza windshield prone to crack. Impaired vision and possible hazard. Class action lawsuit filed against Toyota. This appeared first 7 days of purchase.
Cracked windshield. After parking in an empty parking lot at my office. No one around. I came out of office five minutes later and found a crack in the windshield. No spider from a rock. Just a crack starting on the very edge of the glass. On the drivers side.
My 2009 Venza requires an entire roof seal replacement to stop leaking from all sides of the roof. I was quoted $1k. There should be a recall or some portion of this cost covered by Toyota.
Windshield developed a 24 inch long crack overnight while vehicle was parked in driveway. There was no impact to the windshield and vehicle had not been driven for several days. Crack begins at top edge of windshield on passenger side and continues in a downward diagonal direction moving towards the driver side.
When coming to a faster stop, vehicle stalls entire system shuts off. Happened before when driving. Lucklily was not in a place to wreck.
While steadily accelerating on a freeway onramp, the vehicle suddenly accelerated, surged and gained speed rapidly without my control. I took action by braking and slowing the vehicle to a safe freeway speed. Thankfully no one in my vehicle was hurt and no other vehicle was near during the incident. There were no warning messages. The first time I experienced this unintended acceleration was the first month when this brand new vehicle was purchased from a local Toyota dealer. I was turning into my driveway from a residential street , the car suddenly accelerated while I was in the middle of turn. I immediately/emergently stopped by stepping on the brake, I could have crashed into the power pole if I did not stop. Because this was a new car, I convinced myself I was unfamiliar with its controls. But since the second occurrence, I am greatly concerned about this random "unintended acceleration". The Toyota Venza had been dropped off at our local Toyota dealer for inspection and hopefully repair.
Don't recall anything unusual hitting my windshield (other than sandy grit), but when I drove it today there is a small chip and 12" crack. I have driven cars for 35 years and have never had such a fragile windshield on a car. . Read more...
Windshield cracked passenger side with 2. 5 inch circular area defect, with crack from passenger edge to midpoint. There was no traffic at the time in front of me or oncoming traffic. Was in an area of just grasslands on paved road. Temperature was in the 80's. Speed at 75mph. Sunny day. No known rock hit prior to this. Purchase July 2021.
The connection to the starter is loose, makes ticking sounds on start. Bad connection to the battery car won't start.
An object, possibly a rock, flew up from the road and caused a chip in the windshield that turned into a crack from the far left side of the windshield to the middle. I have had several other vehicles in the past that rocks have hit the windshield and no damage was done.
Wind screen of new Venza is very vulnerable to chipping. In first 7 months of driving it happened twice. On same route I drove prius for 230,000 miles with no issues. It seems the glass is not tough enough and with slight hit by stone it easily breaks. This happened while I was on a stop sign waiting for other vehicle to pass.
I got hit by an unknown vehicle while I left my car parked then to work.
Small rock hit windshield causing it to immediately crack 12” long and in an arc. In 55 years driving never had this occurrence. Checked website and apparently there are quite a few incidents of the same size of crack and arc happening in 2021 Venza. Wondered if there is a manufacturers defect with this windshield.
1 month after buying vehicle I heard as if a rock hit the car. I assume that’s what happened but I did not see it hit. When I got home, I saw a chip in the lower edge of the passenger side (in the black part of the glass) on the windshield. There have been no appointments to repair, but 6 weeks after, the windshield cracked overnight while sitting in the garage. The crack formed an arc towards the driver side and is about 18 inches long. I have noticed reporte of other owners reporting the exact same thing, so thought I would report based on how similar their accounts are to my experience.
