2 Side/window Air Bag problem of the 2012 Volkswagen CC

Failure Date: 12/26/2016

Takata recall I received a recall notice from vwoa in April, 2016 regarding my driver's side air bag. It is now December, 2016 and my dealer still has no idea when it might be replaced. Additionally, when I tried to trade it in on a 2016 model, I was told that my old Cc was now worth half of what I had paid for it only one year ago due to the dangerous air bags. Also I was warned of the possibility of shrapnel injury should I continue driving the car. Your help in obtaining a prompt remedy would be appreciated.

3 Side/window Air Bag problem of the 2010 Volkswagen CC

Failure Date: 11/25/2016

Takata recall. My car's VIN shows that my driver's side airbag is included in this recall. Vw is not even listed in the priority groups, yet my car is now 7 years old and I'm in zone a (where the propellant is said to degrade to an unsafe level in 6-9 years). I know many people (non-vw drivers) who've had passenger-side bags replaced. I respectfully request driver's-side airbags are prioritized over passenger-side; passengers can ride in the back seat or not at all, but a car is completely useless if it's unsafe for the driver/ cannot be driven. Or please require vw to provide loaners; they are not doing so at this time. I spoke with them again today. If not, what am I to do? I live in la, where a car is necessary.

4 Side/window Air Bag problem of the 2012 Volkswagen CC

Failure Date: 04/01/2016

Takata recall - the driver side air bag has not yet been replaced which puts drivers of my car in danger. I was notified of the recall by vw in April 2016, but the problem has not been fixed.

5 Side/window Air Bag problem of the 2012 Volkswagen CC

Failure Date: 04/01/2016

Takata recall - in April 2016, vw informed me that the driver's side airbag was defective and potentially dangerous. Today (July 5, 2017) I called the vw dealer, and the vw dealer claims the parts for the airbag repair will not be available until sept. 30, 2017. That means I will have been driving an unsafe car for 18 months. Can NHTSA get vw to do the repairs sooner?.

6 Side/window Air Bag problem of the 2011 Volkswagen CC

Failure Date: 01/06/2016

For no apparent reason, steering clock spring ceased function, resulting in the loss of steering wheel controls, but more importantly, the horn and driver's side airbag. Upon internet search, this is a very common problem, starting at 50,000 miles.
