Transmission Gear Indicator problems of the 2009 Volkswagen Jetta

Took into vw dealer, they were unable to reproduce, but called vw tech and were told to replace the input temperature sensor on the transmission. Sensor was replaced and I got the vehicle back 5 days later. Appears to be running fine, no repeat of "false neutral" in this case, there was no accident or injury, but sudden loss of power on the interstate in traffic could very easily lead to accidents and serious injury or death.
