Brake Squeaking Noise Problems of Volkswagen Passat

Terrible squeaking noise coming from brakes. Had the issue checked out by a dealer. Brake pads and rotors are fine. No issue with brakes other than the awful noise.

The contact owns a 2012 Volkswagen Passat. While driving approximately 25 mph, a squeaking noise was heard when the brake pedal was depressed. In addition, a strong odor of fuel was present inside the vehicle; however, there was no fuel visible on the ground. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, but the cause of the failure could not be located. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.

Tl-the contact owns a 2012 Volkswagen Passat. The contact stated that when the vehicle was in reverse and the brakes were applied, he would hear a loud squeaking noise. The vehicle was taken to the dealer for diagnosis where they advised him that the noise was a normal occurrence as the temperature dropped. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was contacted and offered no assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 8,000. The current mileage was approximately 14,000. Kmj.

Rear brakes make loud squeaking noise from moment brake pedal is depressed until vehicle comes to a complete stop. Dealer has inspected and said brakes/pads are ok. Dealer deglazed pads which fixed noice problem for approx 2 weeks and then it returned. Problem still not resolved. Problem started at 20k, vehicle just had 40k mile service-dealer said brakes ok still. Said front brakes will need replacement at next service. I feel dealer is trying to fix problem, but manufacturer hasn't provide dealer with any recommendations on problem resolution.
