1 Ignition problem of the 2002 BMW 325

Failure Date: 07/01/2010

I had gotten rain on my hazard and lock button on my 2002 BMW 325i. At first I had the hazards goings off at night up to fifteen times per night for a week straight. "I had to run outside and hold down the hazard button until the lights turn off. Now the lights just blink throughout the day and night once or twice while ignition is off or while driving. Also not to mention the locks go off repeatedly on its own while driving or parked. I will be taking it to the shop to see what should be done next.

2 Ignition problem of the 2002 BMW 325

Failure Date: 11/03/2009

The key can be removed from the ignition while the car is in drive.

3 Ignition problem of the 2003 BMW 325

Failure Date: 11/15/2006

Xenon lights went out shortly after the 50,000 mark. Shortly after car kept going into fail safe mode, kept getting low voltage readings on diagnostics. One BMW dealers kept telling me I needed to rebuild transmission. All they would do is plug the car into the computer and see the tranny reading on the scanner. The reason there was a tranny reading was because the car was in fail safe mode. I eventually had the tranny rebuilt and I still had the same issue. I would cycle the ignition and restart the car and car would drive fine. It keeps going into fail safe mode everytime I start the car. Its harder to get it out of fail safe mode in the winter with colder starts.

4 Ignition problem of the 2006 BMW 325

Failure Date: 04/07/2006

I just purchased a BMW 330 with an option called "comfort access". This option allows the driver (with the key on his/her person) to unlock & start the car as well as and kill the engine (by pressing the start/stop button) & lock the vehicle, all without using a key. . . . Just need it in your pocket etc. The risk is that you can exit the vehicle and lock the doors w/o killing the engine. My concern is being distracted or forgetful and leaving the car running in our garage and having exhaust fumes enter the house! a simple fix would be to have the engine stop running when the driver exists the car and/or locks the doors from outside of the vehicle.
