1 Timing Tensioner problem of the 2008 BMW X5

Failure Date: 02/11/2019

I was driving about 20 mph and all of the sudden I heard a snap noise and steering wheel became hard to move, I managed to park the car safely and turns out the bolt that holds the tensioner pulley broke off. The repair is thousands of dollars, I almost had an accident and because I was only doing 20 mph I managed to avoid an accident and others safety. Imagine if I was on the highway doing 70 mph. I would like BMW to pay for my repair and make it doesn't happen anymore to me or anyone else.

4 Timing Tensioner problem of the 2010 BMW X5

Failure Date: 04/27/2017

This car has an excessive oil consumption issue that the manufacturer was aware of which explains why they no longer make this engine. In a 30 day period I put about 2 additional quarts of oil in the vehicle. The tail pipe is smoking and liquid is coming out of it when the vehicle is running for a long period of time and is idle. The cost to repair it at a BMW dealer is $6,000. I have already paid $2,500 to replace the vaccum pump and o rings due to an oil leak. Also have also experienced a total engine shut down which cost me $3,300 to replace the belt tensioner and deflection pulley and ribbed v belt and air compressor. The car gave no warnings and it the engine just started stalling and then it just died and at that point a coolant light came on but it would not drive anymore at that point. This issue should be covered by the manufacturer. The entire engine needs to be replaced.

7 Timing Tensioner problem of the 2011 BMW X5

Failure Date: 10/19/2015

I received a noise from the engine and started an alert on dashboard engine malfunction reduced power drive safely to the BMW dealer. BMW dealer looked at the vehicle and suggested to change engine oil, solenoids, belt tensioner and deflection pully, however the engine sound did not go off. Now they asking me to change the engine and turbo. The only service did earlier was the vanos gear bolt recall. Dealer and BMW na says it's because of aftermarket oil filter. I think aftermarket oil filter damaging the engine is irrelevant. I think there is a serious problem is getting hidden by BMW. Can anyone please help.
