I am writing because we purchased a 2010 Buick Enclave in 2018. Immediately after purchasing I noticed issues with the vehicle and it had to be serviced twice within a couple weeks of having it. At the time the service dept. Could not diagnose the issue and blamed it on my accidently touching the manual shift on the shaft. I knew I was not doing this. I have video of the car doing this weird acceleration and all during the last couple of years but vander hey kept saying the vehicle was fine. Well, I was stranded because it just stopped a few days ago and had to take a 50. 00 uber home. I have had to uber 3 times now and purchased a code reader. The code comes back as a timing chain stretched. It seems what I was feeling from the very beginning was in fact this issue. I am not happy about this. I have had to rent vehicles for the last 3 days and will have to have the vehicle towed back to my home tomorrow. Since this issue was brought to your attention from day one I expect it to be repaired at no cost to me and some of the charges I have accumulated be reimbursed. This is not just! I will be looking into the lemon law and if it applies to me. I am hoping your company takes responsibility. Had they paid attention to what I was saying and all then this would never have happened,. The stress and issues this has caused goes so much deeper than this the code that comes back is p0008. The crank shaft. I have read numerous reviews on this and will continue to carry this on. Furthermore the fact that there are recent issues with the power steering as well.

The power steering has issues when turning it seems to not work. Been have this problem for about a year. I’ve talked to other Buick owners and they have the same problem. I also have electrical issues on the drivers side door panel, where none of the switches work. Just all of a sudden quit.

I recently just purchased my vehicle with 145,000 miles when I noticed that my steering wheel locks during turns. It becomes very hard and dangerous to turn. I have to turn very slow which is dangerous can could cause an accident. I have read that this is a very common issue with this vehicle and that it needs to be recalled hopefully we can find a way to fix this.
11 months after I bought my Buick the engine went out the dealer said it was nothing to do with me the replacement used all my warranty. And there has been one after another problem. My steering wheel locks during turns almost had some real serious finder benders. It's throwing p420 code for bank 2 and now have no sound at all everything works but no blinkers, hazard, seatbelt, backup warning sounds at all with no radio .
Numerous times at highway speed merging on and off ramps into traffic the power steering goes out causing me to apply more upper arm strength to merge and then the power steering comes back on causing me to jerk the vehicle into traffic almost causing me to hit vehicles in farthest lane.
Steering locks up periodically in motion at slow speed when making a turn on highway also from a dead stop when turning leaving a intersection. Arm strong power steering meaning very hard to turn.

I have own this car for 1 year. Shortly after purchasing it I started to notice that every once in a while the steering wheel would lock up making very difficult to turn but it wouldn't do it all the time. It seems to get worse the longer the car is running. It is now doing it pretty regularly and has caused some pretty bad scares when on an off ramp etc. There was a recall on this very problem but it says my car/VIN is not included. I would like to find out why?.

Tl- the contact owns a 2013 Buick Enclave. The contact stated her air bag warning light would illuminate intermittently. The contact took the vehicle to alpine Buick GMC 8120 w tufts Ave, denver, CO 80123 to have the light turned off; however, the light continued to illuminate after the repair. The contact also stated that one day while backing out of her driveway, her power steering would cease to operated without warning and hit a tree. No injuries were reported and there was not a police report filed. The contact had the vehicle repaired under warranty at the same dealer but the failure would continue to occur. Also, the contact stated that the transmission had to be replaced under warranty due to an abnormal noise that could be heard emitting from the engine. The contact had the transmission replaced. While in motion and braking to turn right or left, my power steering completely goes out. The steering wheel becomes very difficult to turn causing me to almost hit another vehicle as the turning radius had become much more larger than I am used to. The power steering does not seem to be impacted while going 15 mph or higher, it is only while applying brakes and slowing down and turning, right or left. I have been told by an auto shop that loss of power steering is a common problem for gm vehicles between 2009 - 2011 and that even a special coverage adjustment was issued, not a recall though. The special coverage was issued for cars up to 150,000 or 10 years after car was issued for service/sold. Ten years in my case was in February 2019. I called a gm dealer to ask for help and was told I'm out of luck because the 10 years had passed. I am the 2nd owner of this vehicle and purchased it used in December 2014. I never received letters or notice from gm of this special coverage. Furthermore, I have repeatedly taken my car in for service to this same dealership over the 5+ years of ownership and never once did the gm dealer notify me of the special coverage. At least 2 times, I took my car in for steering issues.
1. Passenger airbag- warning light gives me a daily message to service the airbag. I worry about whether the airbag will deploy at any moment or may not deploy if an accident occurs as I travel with my children daily. 2. Power steering- my power steering locked as I was driving 2 years ago. The auto shop has replaced/repaired the power steering system multiple times, however steering continues to whine and rub. 3. Trunk liftgate- the liftgate has abruptly lowered as my children and I have tried to get items in and out of the back. This resulted in one of them getting hit in the head. The back liftgate button has stopped engaging.
When driving the whole electric system wigs out. It starts with the whole a/c controls blacking out and turning off. Then they might flicker. This is following by every warning and service light in the dash coming on and every warning announcement coming on the screen on the dash with the car beeping and dinging. Then this is followed by the entertainment system completely shutting down and going black as well. Sometimes it will do this all over again and flicker a couple of times before coming back on fine, and sometimes it will come back on fine after doing this whole cycle once. It has not shut off the engine so far, but there are problems with steering and down or up shifting during and right after this happens. It may do this multiple times within the span of about 10 mins, or it may do it once in a 30 min span of time. There is no pattern or reasoning to it. It does this no matter what weather condition or road condition there is, and no matter how fast I am going or how many miles I have driven. It does seem to be doing it more on a regular basis now, it is every single time I drive the car, and this is a daily driver I drive it at least four times a day. This needs to be recalled and fixed before someone gets hurt because it is hard to drive and steer when it is doing this. I have recorded video of me driving and it doing this. It has been doing this for about two weeks now.
Vehicle steering wheel becomes very tight/ difficult to turn at times while turning, parking & reversing.
This SUV is the devil it self. Is giving me all kind of problem right now it have a limp mode and I have no idea what to do the transmission is not working in any gear. The soft codes said p0171, p 0174, p 0420, p 0300 is crazy. I have change the alternador, the purge valve, the valve canister on top of the gas tank and the other sensor that tell you about the fumes of the tank went filling. I also change the pcv valve all the breathers hoses in the intake housing , I change the troutle body, the spark plugs, the coils, the intake gaskets, the oxigents sensors, the batery poles. And this SUV still giving me problems now it went to a transmission limp mode and is not coming out not even if you erase the codes and all fuses are good.
Tl- the contact owns a 2008 Buick Enclave. The contact stated that there was no warning indicator when the eps failed causing the steering wheel to seize in either direction. The vehicle was not diagnosed by a dealer yet. The vehicle was unable to be driven due to the intermittent failure and was taken to an independent mechanic for further testing and diagnosis. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, had not issued an eps recall but had issued 19 TSB for the steering system so the contact was uncertain if the manufacturer had a remedy for a solution to prevent the failure. The vehicle was not repaired yet. The approximate failure mileage was not available. Dyd.
The power steering gives out when the car is travelling at slow speeds. It basically seizes up mid turn and needs an incredible amount of power to turn the wheel. This has been happening since about the 70,000 mile mark.
At slow speeds the power steering goes in and out intermittently. The loss of power steering is only for a second or two but the sensation seems to be dangerous if the steering function did not return instantly. This loss of power steering is identical to the power steering loss that is the subject of a current GMC sierra truck recall.
While driving my 2013 Buick Enclave, I made a left turn into the stop and shop supermarket entrance when I felt the steering wheel become very hard to turn, seconds after it went back to bein normal. This all happened while a young lady was in the cross walk. No one was hurt, but I don't wanna it to get to that either.
Hard to steer, turn left or right. Hearing a clenching sound when turning.
This car is a mess. It didn't pass the state emission test sticker. The traction control system in conjunction with the stability track control system. Are bringing up a check engine light with error code p0174 and p0171. Every time those system showed up in the instrument panel I got a follow up check engine light. I don't know what the problem is and two GMC Buick dealer have said different fix method. Very back for me. They want to fix different problems. They don't know what the real problem is. They are guessing.
Buick was in motion and steering locked up and allmost hit another car. Happened agan on way home. Dealer found leaking stearing gear had to replce rack assy 1941. 50 costwhich I had done for saftey. Milage at 45517 many other Buicks same problem of which gm paid for repair. My complaint was denied and closed unsatisfied, hundres of complaints on this matter and gm no recall.
I brought my vehicle last November of 2017 and for the last couple of months I have had a problem with my steering it locks up when trying to pull into a parking space or just simply turning a corner it takes a lot of strength to turn this wheel and also other driver's seem to think I'm holding traffic up because I can't turn the wheel also when backing up into traffic the wheel locks up it doesn't happen all the time but I almost hit another vehicle because the wheel locked up I'm afraid to drive the car on the highway for fear it may lock up going straight is fine only when turning backing up and no parallel parking can be done at all, I would not be able to get out at all.
I have a 2016 Buick Enclave - the have exceeded my warranty by approximately by approximately 7,000 miles noticed that the vehicle had begun making squealing sound mainly when turning. Took it to my local mechanic and he confirmed a leak from the power steering hose. He found that there is a published service bulletin regarding the issue. I feel this should be covered under a warranty or a recall.

The steering becomes hard to turn when moving very slowly or sitting in park. This happens intermittently in urban settings. No problem observed at highway speed as yet. Will be taking to mechanic shortly.
Power keeps going our intermittently during slow speeds. . . For example with stopped and going to make a turn or u-turn. . . Or while in a parking lot. It will go out for a few seconds. . . Or less then kick back in. I have seen multiple postings about others who have experienced the same problems with Enclave and traverse (chevy) in the same year sets. I was on a city street when the most noticeable occurrence happened, making a u-turn from a complete stop when I could barely turn my steering wheel to complete the turn.
Steering wheel seems to lock when we turn the wheel, which makes it difficult to turn to the right or left very dangerous when making turns while driving. Has happened numerous times.
Tl- the contact owns a 2011 Buick Enclave. The contact stated that while being operated aproximately 10 mph the steering seized. The failure occurred without warning. Luther GMC located 3202 36th st s, farggo, nc was contacted where it was diagnosed that the steering gear was defective and needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was not notified of the issue. The failure mileage was approximately 60,000. The VIN was not provided. Kh.

Power steering randomly stops working, usually on lower rpms but sometimes just randomly stops working no matter what rpms. Power steering fluid is full.
I cannot turn my steering wheel when going at slow mph. When trying to pull into parking spaces, driveways, sharp turns or basically doing anything had requires me to drive slowly and turn, my steering wheel will not turn. It's extremely hard.
Some times in motion I lose my power stering.
Steering: seems vague when in motion at highway speed. Other: rear tailgate opens while driving, sitting still w/o the key in the ignition. Contacted gm and customer service told me it was my problem not theirs. Engine: sounds like a meatgrinder on cold start up, if the engine fails will loose steering, brakes and possibly control of the vehicle.
At slow speeds the power steering goes out. Steering is almost locked in place making it nearly impossible to steer.
Lots of information that Buick should send out a recall regarding the steering rack leaks this car gets. Mechanic claimed I had steering leaks, I hardly drive this car.
Power steering has intermittent failure at low speed.
Difficulty turning wheel- power steering feels like it is failing and may not make complete turn. Wheel becomes stiff and difficult to turn.
