Air Bag Light On Problems of Cadillac CTS - part 1

When getting into the passenger seat and someone weighed enough to activate the air bag to be on the air bag light would flicker. Then after a while the air bag light just stayed on and hasn't turned off even when knowones sitting their. This started happening only when someone would enter the car while stationary with the vehicle on. It's been about 2 months since this has started.

Tl the contact owns a 2014 Cadillac Cts. The contact stated that the air bag indicator remained illuminated at all times. The vehicle was taken to myrtle beach Chevrolet (843-407-0656, located at 1785 us-501, myrtle beach, SC 29577) where it was diagnosed that either the wiring harness to the air bag module under the front driver's seat or the air bag sensor module may need to be replaced. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and promised to call the contact back. The contact was not called back. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 42,000.

While driving maybe 6 minutes my center console display would no longer function preventing me from being able to control the radio or air, which both remained functioning and the air bag light came on at the same time. The radio no longer plays but the air still blows. At the time this happened I was driving on a paved road at night going approx. 50 mph.

My car airbag light just comes on and never cuts off it just stays on and I don't know what the problem may be and I'm just wondering is this a problem with every air making model of the car that I have.

Tl the contact owns a 2006 Cadillac Cts. While driving various speeds, the passenger air bag indicator failed to show when it was operating. The vehicle was not taken to a dealer. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that the vehicle was not included in NHTSA campaign number: 10v644000 (air bags). The approximate failure mileage was 140,000.

In August 2011, vehicle was taken to dealer in response to recall 10355 with approximately 31,600 miles. Part 19124390 passenger side seat cushion/airbag module was replaced. In February 2019, service airbag light became illuminated and taken to dealership for diagnosis. Mileage was approximately 66,000. The diagnosis was to replace the passenger side seat cushion/ air bag module, which is the same item replaced in August 2011. Even though it has been 7/8 years since repair, the vehicle has been driven less than 35,000. Of those 35,0000, a front passenger was probably in the passenger seat for only 15,000 miles. I believe this second sensor part is defective and should be replaced at Cadillac's expense. Documentation including invoices and estimates available upon request.

Service airbag light on in vehicle, diagnosis says it is the passenger presence module. Through research, many others are having the same exact issue. The module needs to be fixed, not just replaced with another faulty module.

In addition, the vehicle was not included in NHTSA action number: eq11001 (air bags). The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and stated that the vehicle was not included in the recall. The failure mileage was not available.

Tl the contact owns a 2011 Cadillac Cts-v. While operating the vehicle, the passenger side air bag indicator remained illuminated. The vehicle was taken to rick hendrick city Chevrolet (5101 east independence blvd, charlotte, nc) where it was diagnosed that the passenger side air bag sensor located inside the seat was faulty and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact was informed by the dealer that the part needed to repair the vehicle had been discontinued. The manufacturer was notified and no solution was offered. Takata recall. We heard from gm recall center that our local gm dealer, rally auto, did this recall Nov 15, 2013. The airbag light is on again not even 5 years later. We are seniors and do not drive this car that far. We took it in to rally and they put it on a machine and charged us $143 to tell us it would be almost $1000 to fix the airbag module in the passenger seat. In researching, it says that the recalls never expire if the manufacturer and parts availability are still there. We are seniors on limited income and this is exhorbitant fees. They did not check under the seat to see if it might be a simple breakage or bending of wires I don't believe. Can you help us get this fixed? it seems it should not be messed up so soon. Thank you.

Takata recall. We have an air bag light on the passenger side. Took in to dealer. Says the code b092 needs pass. Presence. Quoted us almost $1000 for repair. Note that this recall was taken in and done Nov 2013. Why is it messing up again? how long is the repair supposed to last? shouldn't it be fixed at no cost to us?.

Takata recall. My psgr airbag light stays on saying psgr airbag off. I saw where certain vehicles were recalled for this. They all have the same problem. Will my vehicle get in the recall or will there be future recalls.

Airbag light is stuck on. After researching issue there was a recall on the passenger side seat airbag sensor. Called dealer and was told this car wasn't part of the recall for this issue. Seems like the same reason the other cars were recalled.

The service airbag light illuminated in my car. The passenger seat sensor does not activate when someone is sitting in the seat, and therefore the airbag does not turn on. This was a noticed recall for this year of car, but when I searched my VIN, my car does not qualify.

I purchased a 2003 Cadillac Cts from car mart in anniston, alabama on or about may 5, 2017. Shortly after signing the contract, which included an airbag reference, the service airbag lights came on. They come on at random times and include service airbag andrew airbag icon. I did not notice that the bottom of the airbag on the driver steering wheel had a small crack across it that you could actually see the airbag container. After being assured that an excutive of the company would review our contract and get back with me on this complaint around 2 weeks after taking possession of vechicle. As of today I have have not been contacted even after calling and leaving messages. I was driving down hwy. 78 west when the lights first came on and continue to do so at random times. My wife is short so she is almost up to the steering wheel. I also have a 5 yr old daughter. I am in constant fear and worry that the airbag will deploy prematurely or when hitting a small pothole. I have checked for any recalls from the manufacturer and there are none. I would truly appreciate any assistance I can get to correct this problem. It is an accident waiting to happen.

The air bag indicator has been illuminated since October 2016. I recently learned that after my mechanic run a diagnostic test on 1/19/2017, the reading shows that there is a problem with the driver seat which causes the "service air bag" to highlight in the information center of the stereo system at every startup of the engine.

Air bag light has came on. While vehicle was in motion driving on the highway the passenger rear window came down on it's own and would not roll back up. My car only have 60,000 miles.
