Anti-theft Controller Problems of Cadillac Deville

Tl- the contact owns a 2001 Cadillac Deville. The contact stated that the service anti-theft system warning lamp illuminated several times and the vehicle stalled with no warning. The contact indicated that as the failure was progressing the service engine warning lamp also starting illuminating. The vehicle was towed to the contacts residence due to the intermittent failure. The contact notified two authorized dealers and was not able to schedule an appointment for the recall repair within a reasonable timeframe. The contact was included in NHTSA campaign id number: 14v355000 (electrical system). The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was unavailable. Dyd.

I was smelling fumes in the interior of the car. My fule line was leaking fule onto the engine manafold. I had to replace one of the fule lines to stop it. After the repair, it started again, but from a diffrent line. The shop contacted the Cadillac dealership who told him that there was a recall for the 1995 Deville's "fule rail line" to replace the plastic parts with metal parts. I need to know if this is a problem and recall for the 1997 model as well. I have the deeligance model.

According to a local Cadillac dealers service manager-the ignition has a theft deterent system that has a wire that often comes loose causing the vehicle to be unstartable and thus leaves the driver stranded. The service manager tells me that he has done several of these and doesnt know why there is no recall.
