Issue started by having the engine cutoff or go into low power mode. Mechanic tried fining power issues, ended up replacing pcm board. Issue remained. Then oil pressure sensor check engine light came on, had a mechanic replace the oil pressure sensor and everything worked for a little while. Next low oil pressure message came up, stating to shut off engine. After reading around, the issue seems to be that the camshaft actuator is being starved of oil due to low oil pressure, that is caused by the camshaft and bearings being bad. This faulty part causes the vehicle to turn off while running, extremely dangerous! how long until someone dies? need gm to make this right. Vehicle is under 80k miles.

I purchased my car used from a dealership in 2009 and I now have the following problems with it. A check engine light that will not go out, the error states the fuel cap is not tight and no matter how much I tightened it never goes away. When fueling the car fuel will overflow if not paying attention. Also the the shift lever position is no longer illuminated so I am not sure which position the car is in most of the time I have to listen and gauge it before trying to put it in gear. I never received an communications that the car was under recall but from what I am seeing from the NHTSA website these are the problems that I am now having.

P0011 engine code once the check engine light comes on the truck rides horrible. Gm has no solution to this problem. Its a design flaw lubricating the cam shaft. I change the oil once a month. Its not enough. . Gm knows this problem exist and covers it up. . I hope more Escalade owners come forward and complain about this problem. Forcing owners to go to the dealership to clear the code isn't fair. . . . .
