Brake pedal randomly goes to floor when trying to stop and vehicle loses brake pressure. The pads, rotors, and fluid levels are good. From my research online thousands of other people have had the same problem and some have been in accidents because of it. Gm has not issued a recall or give credit for repair despite being a huge safety concern. I hope this is finally recalled before more people get hurt.

At first, after having to press hard on the brakes while driving in traffic, the brake petal will sink to the floor anytime the vehicle needs to brake afterwards. This would go away after 8 hours or so. Recently, the vehicle does while driving if it goes over a speed bump, pot hole, or sometimes for no reason at all. The petal sinking while braking now last for several days up to weeks. It is extremely dangerous as one doesn't know how much pressure is need to stop at any given time. I have taken it to the shop and nothing has been found to be wrong. Brakes have been bled, rotors and pads changed and the car still does it at random times.

Driving to work, went to stop at a red light, "no" brakes. I pumped the pedal a couple of times, finally attained enough pressure to stop the car. There were no signals, warning indicators noting to warn me of the stopping ability of the car. The previous day, the car was fine, good solid brake pedal. Took the car to the dealer, the car was inspected, fluid levels fine. Dealer suggested to bleed the brake system for entrapped air. I thought this was extremely strange. Also recommended the front brake pads were 60% gone, should be replaced. I followed the dealers recommendations, and the car responded, everything is fine now except I could have been killed or others injured by this failure.
