1 Brake Sensor problem of the 2004 Cadillac SRX

Failure Date: 09/08/2016

I bought the Srx used in September and since then I have had one issue after another. If I accelerate too quickly my transmission, (I think), has a very loud ratcheting/popping sound. My service suspension system error msg comes on every time I start my vehicle. I have read that this could be related to the air compressor not working or faulty sensors. My service stability system error msg also comes on every time I start my vehicle. This seems to cause the traction control feature to mess up, which then on occasion when I press my brakes, even slightly, my brakes lock up and I skid for just a second. My power steering fluid seems to continually leak or the pump is bad. I have refilled my resovoir many times and I constantly have a very loud "whining" sound. My power steering system also seems to go out occasionally and my vehicle is very difficult to turn.

The contact owns a 2011 Cadillac Srx. While driving 20 mph, the vehicle began to hesitate when the accelerator pedal was depressed. There were no warning lights illuminated. The failure occurred randomly. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed that the mass flow sensor failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. When the brake pedal was depressed, it traveled to the floorboard. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where the failure could not be determined. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 79,000.

After the incident, the abs sensor illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic. The technician stated that the abs was faulty. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, but no solution was offered. The failure mileage was 91,000.

4 Brake Sensor problem of the 2004 Cadillac SRX

Failure Date: 02/23/2013

My wife was driving her 2004 Srx with only 70000 miles. She was traveling at 65 mph when the brakes suddenly started activating and the car swerved to the side almost causing an accident. The error message displayed was service stability on the console. After she told what had happened , I went on the internet and found that too many owners of 2004 Srx experienced the same problem. The dealer ended up replacing the sensor on the steering column. From reading and experiencing this problem I wonder how long will it be before someone gets seriously hurt. I think this problem justifies looking into because it is occuring too many 2004 Srx (edmunds. Com has a lot of complaints).

5 Brake Sensor problem of the 2007 Cadillac SRX

The contact owns a 2007 Cadillac Srx. The contact was driving 45 mph when the anti-lock braking system engaged, causing the vehicle to decelerate. The contact took the vehicle to a dealer for a diagnostic test which determined a defective pcm. The dealer reprogrammed the pcm, replaced the rear brakes, rotors and a steering column sensor however, none of the repairs remedied the brake problem. The failure mileage was 78,000.
