Once in awhile, while driving the Srx, it hesitant shifting causing rpm to rev higher than usual. When slowing down, once in awhile you feel a kick. Also I hear a slight whining noise when driving. Steering wheel turned all the way to the left or to the right, steering wheel does not turn back when going forward nor reverse, it stays turned.

When I shift to park, the dash tells me I have not in park and I am unable to turn the car off. I have to reverse, then shift back to park, sometimes several times, in order for the car to finally register that I am in park. Also, when I shift to reverse, there is a huge thunking noise. This is an intermittent issue that can occur anywhere from 1 time per week to several times. I have brought the vehicle in for the issue to certified gm dearlships and pointed out that several messages on bulletin boards state it's a transmission shift cable. Many others have experienced the same problem, however, if the dealership cannot replicate it, they say there is nothing to fix. I saw a recall for the same issue for 2010 and 2011 Srx's, but the dealership said that my VIN is not part of the recall although I'm experiencing the same issue.
