Battery Problems of Chevrolet Astro

Power window on passenger side has failed. Vehicle has been through 2 new batteries since we purchased it 6 months ago. Seems to be draining batteries and we are not sure why. We put battery on recharger overnight, but within hours of taking itoff the charger, the battery is drained while the car is not running.

Ongoing electrical system problem, draining the battery power, and causing the battery to overheat. Battery became so hot that itt had to be disconnected to prevent an explosion. Dealer contacted for a scheduled appointment.

Within months of purchase, on April, 2003, the power windows failed to open. Then the cd player would not eject the cd's. The intermediate levels of the windshield wipers no longer worked by that winter. The battery has been replaced twice due to it discharging, I have jumped the van and placed the batteries on chargers, only to be dead again after a test drive. I have replaced the connectors as well in hopes that was the problem but to no avail. Now the rear heater does not work.

Acdelco that was installed at dealer 9/2000 on 11/1/2002 it leaked battery acid and post went through side of battery-dealer states it happens all the time-it seems as though this battery model #78-6yr seial #090004 may have a defect and the VIN # I reported is what came off the plate in the front of the van-it appears to be tampered with-I am not sure how to check if it is correct-that number is also on all my car warranty information.

While driving battery light came on. Problem was due to 'belt tensioner breaking. Consumer was driving at approximately 10 - 15 mph. Please provide any additional information.

Battery was replaced within the first month.
