Engine Oil Leaking Problems of Chevrolet Blazer

Tl the contact owns a 2020 Chevrolet Blazer. The contact stated while driving 20 mph, the vehicle started overheating. The contact then drove the vehicle to the side of the road and noticed that the vehicle was leaking oil. The vehicle was then towed to an unknown dealer. The contact stated that several unknown warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to Chevrolet of columbus (2825 merchant mile, columbus, in 47201) where it was diagnosed with rodent damage to the wiring harness. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer had been informed of the failure and informed the contact that the expenses would not be covered even though the vehicle was under warranty. The failure mileage was approximately 300.

Took vehicle in for oil change, next day car made noises and leaked oil. Contacted dealer, two days later car needed two qts of oil. Car dealer then towed car,had car for a week and said 'it's not their fault'. Extended warranty expired.

The problem was identified as a failed oil cooler line and "o" rings. The line and ring was replaced. The replacement parts were not the issue as much as the engineering causing expensive labor costs for a small part to be replaced. The manufacturer was not contacted.

Blazer seeping oil from oil pan, will not fix only if I pay 75% due to 90 day warranty,and told if they would fix it I would only create more problems, it was also told by dealer and chevy that it is normal for year and mileage, I don't think so with 47,000 miles, when I owned a 97 chevy with 97,000 miles , no leaks but salesman knew of it 3 weeks after purchase when 30 day bumper to bumper existed,was at dealership July 6, 2006 for all items but chevy nor dealership documented it or the grease fittings, lube, check fluid levels like was suppose to do, salesman checked fluids for me after they neglected to do their job. . So chevy says can't go by salesman because he no longer works there, seeping oil from oil pan is not normal, I didn't receive a odometer paper on it or my trade in. . I feel they are doing me wrong and chevy is backing them up, I even gave salesman number and told them I have a note pad here of all that was to be done with pages after on note pad written on after that day and they won't listen. They never gave me correct mileage on it when I purchased the vehicle.

The oil cooler lines are leaking on my 2000 Blazer( with only 54,248 miles). The mechanic who changed the oil today stated that he has yet to service a Blazer that didn't have leaking lines eventually. Interesting! he also stated that he didn't understand why there has not been a recall. If this is not the proper place to report this, please let me know. Oil leaks where oil lines connect to the remote oil filter. Mechanic indicated this was a common problem in chevy SUV/trucks with remote oil filter systems.

Both sets of oil cooler lines began leaking. The mechanic informed me that this was a very common problem on gm vehicles with the same type of oil filter assembly.

On my way home from work on sept. 21, 2001, I had to sit on I-435-e- freeway for an hour because of a car accident. I was moving no more than 5 to 10 miles an hour. When I got to I-71-n and I took I-71 to the linwood exit going 55 to 60 miles an hour and then 45 to 50 miles an hour and then 55 to 60 and then 45 to 50. I exited linwood to the east, over to indiana (linwood is the 32nd hundrend blook). I went south on indiana to 3318 indiana. I parked my car and went in the house. I was in the house about 2 to 3 minutes before my neighbors came to my door and said my car was on fire. They were using their water holes to put out the fire. My better-half (trinidad medellin) came out side and open the hood of the Blazer. By the time the fire department came, the fire was out. Superior Chevrolet had informed trinidad medellin that severe oil leak was present from oil filter adapter housing and both oil cooler lines and this leak constitutes a safety and reliability issue. Trinidad did not see any leaks. If this data was known to the NHTSA under recalls, why weren't the customers informed, per odi 978897?.

There is a constant oil leak coming from under the hood, mechanic states oil gasket malfunctioned.

While driving 60mph engine shut off, causing loss of power steering and brakes. Consumer states the brakes are sensitive and grab quickly, dealer could not duplicate concern, also there was an oil leak, the dealer replaced a cracked oil pan.

Never took in for rear wiper. Started leaking oil, so took to dealer here in roosevelt 21, Dec. Started to provo Jan. 10, cruise control went off, speedometer would not work, this caused the car to not shift. Pulled off road as car stops, turned car back on, turned around to return home. Afraid to continue over mountains. Took to murry motors, could not find anything wrong. Took for a 30 minute mile ride and it happened again. Will take back this following Monday to be checked again. Can not drive if it wont shift. Took to murray motors for oil leak. They replaced two hoses. Not connected properly, causing leak. Thanks mrs. Engine oil filter is leaking oil onto the engine. Consumer had the problem repaired three times, dealer can't determine the cause.

While driving or when vehicle is parked oil is leaking, cause unknown. Consumer was concerned that this could result in a fire. . Consumer stated there is a constant oil leak from both sets of oil lines.

Oil leak at oil line could cause damage to engine, and in some cases when driving, engine could lock up without prior warning. Consumer has contacted dealer, parts on back order. Please provide any further details.
