The stereo system in this car controls alot of the electrical system. For a while it would come on and off now just off. It will not alert you if you forget to fasten seat belt, or if you forget keys in ignition . Defrost has warm air on one side cold on other no matter what settings are on . This causes windshield to fog up horribly and limits vision. It does not make sound when blinkers are on are left on after turning. So you can be driving forward and not know blinker is on giving other drivers the impression you are turning. I've seen videos where drivers are removing stereo and cutting white wire which says stereo comes back on when wire is cut. But it also disables hazzard lights. Now your in the dark changing a flat and you have no hazzard lights , but your stereo works very dangerous. This has got to be some sort of wiring issue which also make me fear a potential fire hazzard.

Radio/hvac/audible chimes (available for inspection). My and others safety are at risk every day when driving this car. First the radio does not work at all the hvac controls are tied into the radio and they work intermittent (windows fog) the whole center dash shuts off and on around every 3 seconds. It is very distracting at night flashing from when I start it until I shut it off and I have a one hour commute. I no longer have chimes like keys left in ignition, lights on, and hazard lights are also effected. Everything worked fine prior to radio failure. Has not been inspected by dealer. Ran off roadway into ditch lights flashing startled me and I jerked the wheel to the left with minor damage.
About 80% of the time I stop, I put the car into 'park" and attempt to remove the key, it is stuck. The solenoid in the steering column will not release the key although it is in position 2. My wife just left the key stuck and it drained the battery, stranding her. I have not taken the car to the dealer but research online has shown that this is a widespread problem among Camaros and other Chevrolet vehicles between 2010-2015. Users report the chevy is refusing to declare a recall and dealers are charging $700 to replace the gear shifter which houses the switch that activates the solenoid in the steering column.

On Sunday, September 10th, the key got stuck in the ignition and would not come out. The car was on and it could not turn off. The car ran for approximately an hour. I had to pull the car out of the garage so that I would not die from carbon dioxide poisoning. It was on Sunday so I could not drive over to the dealership for help. I had to go on youtube to see how to remove the key out of a 2015 Camaro that will not turn off. After watching numerous videos from random people, I saw a comment where you can remove one of the fuses for the ignition. This appears to be a problem with this model and make according to youtube and needs to be addressed due to the risk of carbon dioxide exposure or running out of gas and causing engine damage.
The side detection system has failed. I know chevy has been having a lot of issues with this and now its hit my car. I demand a law suit or a shut down or a government enforced mandatory repair at no cost to customer.

Vehicle had approximately 5000 miles on it when the electronic trunk release failed to operate. Trunk would not unlock or open from the key fob or the push button inside the vehicle. This was a safety concern as it was determined by the dealer of a faulty fuse box which controlled several other components of the vehicles electrical system. Dealer informed customer that the fuse box was on back order due to a large number of replacements for the same issue occurring.

The a/c blows warm air because the air box used to control the a/c was made with a flimsy part. The part is cheap to replace, but the repair is over $4,000 because of the vehicle’s design. The a/c is controlled by an air box under the dash board but the box cannot be worked on without first removing the dash board and the dash cannot be worked on without removing the windshield. I was told that there was nothing I could have done to create or prevent the problem, it’s just not a sturdy material used. And there is nothing that can be done to prevent this from reoccurring, which would be another $4,000+. In fresno’s over 110 degree summer heat, driving around without an a/c is a health concern. Also, the vehicle won’t release the key from the ignition when it is turned off. I have to wait up to a minute for the car to release it.
The contact owns a 2016 Chevrolet Camaro. The contact stated while driving at various speeds, the vehicle became inoperable. After having the car for a year with regular maintenance and service, out of nowhere car was giving electrical problems that was making my car battery die and the abs brake system giving out completely to the point where the vehicle has no brakes at all & engine failure due to cylinder #1 no compression, car kept giving codes p0300 , c0299 , b1517 , notice there’s an service bulletin from gm no. Pi1178f is know as a common problem for ltg engines, also the only way I found out that the engine was damaged when I took the vehicle to the dealership for diagnostic and was told that one of the cylinders had no compression which had came down the line that an piston ring had internally damaged my engine, vehicle has 145k and was running smoothly until sudden electrical problems.
Hello I’ve purchased this car from ajs auto inc and since purchasing it I’ve been complaining to them about my transmission and rear end I am now going on my 3rd transmission in this vehicle and I pay way to much money monthly for this to be going on and chevy knows about the issue but refuses to do anything about and or the dealership.

Driving back from several trips out of state. On i15, the car shut completely off, while moving. Everything powers off. Car still in motion. Have to push the ignition button to turn back on and resume power and turned the car back on. The has happened now 5 times since I bought the car brand new in 2017. The dealer has never been able to reproduce issue. Are my charging cables for phones and ipod shorting out the car?? I dont know. It's the only thing that might be an issue.
Radio keeps turning on and off by itself with a high volume so annoying and distracting. Even if I turned the volume all way down it will shut off then turn back on with high volume! also radio flashes after turning the car off.
I have an ongoing issue with my key not coming out of the ignition when in park. Nothing appears out of the normal. Several vehicle owners appear to have the same issue and have taken this to the dealer to be advised it would cost hundreds of dollars. The key not coming out of the ignition poses a security concern because it is unclear if it is the ignition switch or actually the shifter. If the vehicle is not truly in park, will the vehicle roll and injure someone? -or- if someone is in danger, how do you quickly escape from your car without your keys? my keys are a form of protection and my house keys are attached so now an intruder will have access to my home if they know where I live. Gm has already had recalls on other vehicles for this same issue. I feel gm should cover this vehicle and year too, especially since there are so many.
The contact owns a 2013 Chevrolet Camaro. The contact stated that while operating the vehicle the radio console had suddenly shut off. I’ve been experiencing my acceleration and brake pedal engaging without my intervention. While driving , a sudden unintended acceleration will occur followed by the brakes engaging by itself. With the sudden acceleration, fail to accelerate, & delay stopping, all of these factors can cause danger to both the passengers in the car, including myself & others on the road around me which is a very big safety issue. In addition , with the problems I was experiencing & engine light being on my display I took the vehicle to be inspected by don mealey Chevrolet in clermont, florida 347811 on March 31st 2023 . The dtcs read showed active, failure code0x00: p0700 transmission control system(mil request).
Manufacturer default in the trunk. Water is getting into the trunk causing water to fill up in the battery compartment. Thus, shutting the vehicle electrical system down completely. After researching, I contacted gm who stated that they are unaware of this issue, although many people who own this type of vehicle have had this issue occur.
The contact owns a 2012 Chevrolet Camaro. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle stalled with the traction control, and several unknown warning lights illuminated. The contact waited for a while before restarting the vehicle. The contact related the failure to a faulty electrical system; however, the vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired by an independent mechanic or the dealer. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.

Was driving and my knee hit the ignition and the key turned my car off disabling the whole car and forcing me to pull over and restart the car.
This car originally was towed four times because of the failure of the fuel pump wiring harness to the pcm unit the fix was they put a fusible link between the fuel pump I believe and the pcu it still has problems it's intermittent it has issues of burning and melting the case or the plug-in is burnt in there we've addressed it with upper management of Chevrolet and they wanted us to take it to a different dealership and it was just a fiasco after that they said they fixed it they didn't fix it gave it back to us. I'm the father of the driver of the car I worry about my grandchildren and my son having a fire in that car I keep having problems we have to go get them and jump start them and figure the mess with the wires in the trunk so tired of this thing please help there has been consecutively people on the internet telling how to fix which general motors should be responsible for this fix is pathetic how much I've read about it.
Every once in awhile, the ignition key will not turn off to the steering lock position. Leaving the key in accessory position. This defect makes the key impossible to remove. The defect in the 2015 Camaro has been documented in many automotive & Camaro forums, but gm denies that there is a problem. Gm had a similar problem in 2. 2 million cars; models with a key-sticking issue, an says, include the 2005-2010 cobalt, 2006-2011 chevy hhr, 2006-2010 pontiac solstice, 2007-2010 pontiac g5, 2005-2006 pontiac g4/pursuit, 2007-2010 Saturn sky and 2003-2007 Saturn ion.
Car has new engine and transmission everything is new and well maintained, p2138 pops up throttle quits working causing me to almost wreck into another vehicle, I was stuck in traffic 1 hour waiting for a tow truck, 7 shops have worked on the issue and replaced every part including all the technical service bulletins provided here on the site and car is still doing the same thing. The electric system in the car is prone to these issue as is the ecm . Now it's either sell the car to someone with it being unsafe or spend another couple grand hoping to get it repaired. Chevys drive by wire system is a known issue with these cars yet no recall, why, why not recall and repair the issue or is our safety not a issue.

This vehicle is having issues that no chevy repair place is able to recognize or fix. I can not drive this vehicle due to safety concern.
The driver may accidentally bump the ignition key with their knee, moving the ignition.
My car no have heater.
The vehicle has been taken to the shop 3 times, for service rear axle issue. Now has a power steering fault code which when it came on made the car hard to control luckily I was only going 20 mph. The car looses power as well.
Ignition gets stuck in on position after key is removed. Ignition does not cut on radio at times. I have to open the door to reset ignition system so radio can play. Faulty ignition switch needs replacing.
When operating the car it began to slow down. Once I approached a stop the car engine shut off. After a few minutes I was able to start again. After I drove through the light and proceeded home about 2 miles away from the initial stop, the car shut off again. It was sent to vandergriff Chevrolet in arlington, texas and the issue they said had something to do with a cam magnet- this was Nov 2021. Today- November 7 2022 the same thing happened as I was headed to the store. I dropped the car off yet again for repair. The service advisors didn't know how to fix it and had the car for two weeks. They expect to have it for another week to assess and diagnose the problem but the fact that the car has shut off more than 3 times is unsafe.

When I drive my knee turns the key, causing a the car to turn off. This is a safety issue that is concerning I am a mom. Every time my knee hits the part key while the car is on it turns the car off. The heater is an issue I have air but no heat. In order for me to fix the heater I told they would have to remove the entire window, but I would have to sign a waiver, because the window could break. Then they would have to remove the dash and another part in order to fix the heat in the car. This is in my opinion a safety issue I don’t understand how the heater could be fixed without causing the window in the car to possibly break. I was told the chances of the window not breaking in order to fix the heater in the car is nearly impossible. Which means I would have to buy a window and pay for labor in order to fix the heat in the car. 1. I have an ignition issue my knee is turning off the car when I drive. 2. Fixing the heat in the car is nearly impossible. 3. Please help check for recalls.
"shift to park " message on my dic, apparently this is an ongoing issue with Chevrolet and GMC models. My son was trapped in the car for 15 minutes because the lock would not release, he kept turning the car on, shifting to d and and returning to park without much success. Now he opens the door before he turns the car off which is not safe.
Every sense the car was bought from the dealership and it would rain the trunk leaks and holds water to cause electrical damage and problems. I took it back to the dealership and they said they didn’t see a problem but there was a problem. Currently I am so hurt to have a car I can’t drive under raining conditions and now my trunk smell of moldy and its problems due to electrical issues. The trunk leaked enough to cover the fuse box caused lots of electrical problems.
