Ignition Switch Problems of Chevrolet Colorado

When turning off motor, key gets stuck in ignition switch at random. Key can still turn motor off and on, but not be removed. Has been occurring for over a year.

The contact owns a 2017 Chevrolet Colorado. The contact stated that the key failed to be removed from the ignition switch occasionally. After several attempts with manipulating the gear shifter, the steering wheel, and manually turning the key in the ignition cylinder, the key was extracted from the ignition. This truck only has 58,000 miles and the ignition switch went out. I googled it and seen there are tons of others with the same issue. Went to start truck and it wouldn't do anything.

Vehichle will not start when padlock dash indicator is blinking, if you wait 10-15 minutes padlock dash indicator will stay steady and vehichle will start. This has happened off and on going on 6-8 years now. You never know when the vehicle will do this, when I took it to the dealership it was working fine and they dealer would not look at it. A lot of other people have had the same problem according to some of the online forums I have visited. The ignition switch is bad but gm won't aknowledge the problem exists. Bought the vehicle new and it has happened on and off again for 6-8 years.

Ignition switch faulty.

At first, truck showed tps alarm ,then stability alarm ,next it had the headlights cut out on the highway at night @ 70 mph for 15-30 seconds.
