The contact owned a 2020 Chevrolet Corvette stingray. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the contact stated he came to a complete stop at the stop sign. The contact stated the light turned green, he depressed the acceleration pedal and the vehicle started jerking and rumbling noise came from the engine compartment. In addition, the engine independently shut off, however the condition not proper to shift, pressure level at zero, check engine light, idle creeping disable and service transmission warning lights illuminated. The contact stated that he restated the vehicle and the failure reoccurred, the contact turned the vehicle off. The contact stated he completed the process of starting the vehicle and turning it off for about eleven times and the failure was persistent. The contact stated that on the eleventh time when he started the vehicle, he depressed the accelerator pedal and the failure reoccurred, however the contact stated he was able to drive the vehicle to his residence. The vehicle was later towed to the dealer where it was diagnosed with a failed valve body of the transmission and the valve body of the transmission needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired under warranty. The vehicle was sold to the dealer. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 7,200.

While driving at higher speeds and when shifting from fourth to fifth gear gear shift wanted to go into reverse. When this happened, there was a grinding sound coming from the gear mechanism. This problem occurred six times in the last three weeks.
While driving uphill transmission will not allow to shift to 2nd when speed is between 15 and 20 mph, and sometimes will shift to 4th gear before shifting to 2nd gear. Manufacturer had been contacted. Please provide more information.
There is a total loss in acceleration power due to transmission line not being installed properly. Consumer was told this by an mechanic at the dealership. While driving, consumer noticed a puff of smoke followed by a loss of acceleration, the only response while pressing the accelerator was high rpm's, dealer is refusing to refund the purchase price or exchange the vehicle without a substantial financial penalty.

Consumer was traveling about 70mph on highway without prior warning and vehicle decelerated to 20mph. He was able to pulll over to shoulder s to prevent an accident dealership mechanic told consumer that vehicle went into leap mode to protect engine. Problem is still exists.
