Engine Oil Leaking Problems of Chevrolet Corvette

Tl the contact owns a 2010 Chevrolet Corvette. The contact stated that the engine leaked oil and the contact smelled an abnormal odor inside the vehicle. The odor remained in the vehicle for a year and came from the vents, which distracted the driver. The vehicle was taken to nalley Chevrolet (4200 jonesboro rd, union city, GA 30291, (770) 969-1001) where it was diagnosed that an oil change was needed and a new oil pan needed to be installed. The vehicle was repaired and an alignment was performed. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 18,775.

Had my valves checked to see if they were out of spec. I have atleast three exhaust valves that are out of spec. And I'm afraid to even drive the car for fear of dropping a valve in the motor, thus potentially causing oil or antifreeze to leak and get under my tires causing me to wreck my $60,000 car, or cause harm to myself or to other drivers. This is a big safety issue for me and other drivers, not to mention the cost of replacing the motor.

Upon taking my car in for an oil change it was discovered by the technician that the bolt holding the harmonic balancer in place had backed itself out. This allowed the harmonic balancer to do excessive damage to several engine components including the oil pan. According to technician fire could have ensued or car could've suffered a severe loss of traction from the substantial oil leak. General motors has issued a "technical service bulletin" outlining repair procedures to be performed at a local dealership at no cost to customers with cars in a specific VIN series. After looking up the TSB my car is not in said VIN series even though problem is exactly as described in TSB.
