1 Front Air Bag Sensor Control problem of the 2013 Chevrolet Cruze

Failure Date: 01/25/2021

The car at random will have a message come up that says airbag sensor. The car shuts down on you and will not start until car is put in park, raise hood, then roll down driver window in traffic. This sometimes work first try but not always. This cause a huge safety issue. If the airbag deploys I could potentially be left paralyzed. Since I've had a cervical fusion.

3 Front Air Bag Sensor Control problem of the 2016 Chevrolet Cruze

Failure Date: 07/27/2020

I was in a crash on July 27,2020,pm hours. I was driving straight on interstate,it began raining,I slowed down & adjusted traction control/stability control setting. The car veered to the right for some reason,I got car back in straight motion, then in a split second,it shot to the left of the road way. I tried gaining control,to get back in the correct lane, and the car ran into the guardrail in trying to get control of it. I do not think that the rate of speed, nor weather, were the only reasons for this accident. Prior to this crash, months before,at various times, and and for no reason, the service power steering,at times the service traction control, and at times the service stability message would appear, only for a split couple of seconds,at random times. The check engine light was on,and a prior certified mechanic diagnosed it as bank 1 catalyct concerter clogged. We,were trying to get the vehichle re-diagnosed by a different mechanic shop,at the time frame this accident happened, but, covid 19,made things to difficult to arrange and plans were in progress to have it checked ASAP. I beleive the vehichle had a malfunction and hope to get the sensors, computers, relays or any other checked out by you,not only gm. Every airbag along doors of car deployed. But, the steering wheel airbag did not. My head hit either the steering wheel or windsheild. I had a blow to my head. If all other airbags deployed, then I feel steering wheel bag should have also. This is serious malfunctions. There were problems from this car from day 1. Things went wrong way before expected time for. Such as heatercore, ignition coil, coolant leaks, thermostat housing outlet, driver door window & motor, all of most went bad before 80,000 miles. Even electrical such as door chime, lights not working at correct time. Air bag malfunction led to my head being hurt. Thank you.

4 Front Air Bag Sensor Control problem of the 2013 Chevrolet Cruze

Failure Date: 12/06/2019

Chevy Cruze 2013 ltz turbo, I have the paperwork stating it is turbo. I took it to a dealerships because check engine light came on. I was told it was fine. They cleared everything. I have been told different things whether it has turbo or not. The turbo was supposedly checked several times since I bought it. The mechanic at dealership said it did not have turbo. I asked the head mechanic to drive the car with me in it. He did, the head mechanic convinced me it had turbo and it was working fine, I said it doesn't act like it to me, he said this is all its got and that's it, the car is fine. The head mechanic said it was fine, I said something is not right, he convinced everything was and to push the clear button when it would be and it would be fine. This happened between 2014 and 2018 this has happened over the years. I was told to basically touch the clear button. Codes started to pop up; it started with the window. I was told to hit clear button when this happens, so I did. Then check engine codes pop up on dash saying: role window down and back up, check transmission, key remote not detected, start with remote start, check air bags, it has done this off and on for a several years, off and on . Now this week it got really bad to the point the car just shuts off, then it will not start, until I touch the clear button or I have to unhook the battery otherwise the dash will not turn off and I can't start it. I took it to have codes checked and mass flow sensor , then it said vapor canister purge valve then map sensor, I replaced all, the car still acts the same. Codes still appear on dash. Start the car it seems ok, then you drive it and the engine just shuts off and codes start to appear again. Should this be checked into. I can't find records, I will try, but I can tell you dealerships.

7 Front Air Bag Sensor Control problem of the 2011 Chevrolet Cruze

Failure Date: 04/01/2015

I took my car to the kaspar dealer and sandusky, OH and was told the passenger airbag sensor was bad and the repair costs would be 800. 00. This is odd because at least 95% of the time no one sits in that seat. This car is not our family car. It is strictly for me to use for work. This seems to me more likely to be a defect than something I should be at fault for.
