A warning light came on for the airbag randomly. It evolved to the following issues: radio control panel going out with no volume control besides the steering wheel, static on the radio, a warning that park assist needed to be serviced (vehicle does not have park assist), headlights would not turn off upon the vehicle being turned off. The "solution" as there were so many errors that randomly started popping up (mind you, my car was serviced less than a month ago) is a $1500 change of a sensor or unplug the backup camera permanently. This clearly is a manufacturer defect, as why all of a sudden would the car suddenly think I have features that I don't even have on the car.

I will be driving down the road and all of a sudden I will get a warning light saying to 'service airbag'. I took it to a dealership and they said the airbag sensor for the passenger airbag is bad and the only way to fix it is to replace the entire passenger seat. They also said the warranty would not cover this replacement and it would cost over $1,000 for a new seat. This is a serious safety issue that needs to be handled properly. If a person is driving down the road with a passenger and the airbag isn't reading that a person is in the seat serious fatalities may occur.
