Side/window Air Bag Problems of Chevrolet Cruze

In September, my daughters 4 side airbags blew out while driving. She wasn't in any collision or accident, they just blew out and the piece that blew out on her side, hit her in the head too. In may, less than a week after we got the car, she was going up around a curve, someone came around that curve on her side, hitting her driver side mirror, cracking,and breaking the glass. She was ran off the road by the other driver, and she did go over rocks, scratching the bottom of the car, we put it on a lift and there wasn't any damage, just scratched. After her airbags deployed, I was told to contact general motors right away, so I did. I told them what happened, and made sure I told them what happened in may,the lady that took the claim, said that's fine, she will make sure all that was notated! now, from the time I called gm, it took them a week to contact me, which is unacceptable. I even called back in a couple days demanding someone contact me right away. I was told it was a mechanical issue, and it needs to be dealt with. I was told by a gm dealership, that it is very obvious it was mechanical, faulty airbags. It took almost 3 weeks from the time I called gm for them to get it to a dealership and get their investigator out to look at it. She can't drive the car, the seatbelts don't work and airbags deployed,so I refuse to let her drive it. So from the time the investigator came out and looked at it, recorded his findings, it was another 2 weeks. My daughter called the lady at gm and the investigator that contacted her to get info. I sent an email asking why it's taking so long too. Finally, gm called me, saying the decisions are final and they �found no merit that it was a mechanical issue�,and they won't be doing anything to help. She also told me nothing like that has ever happened before. I want them to take responsibility! they are using what happened in may!.

Tl-the contact owns a 2016 Chevrolet Cruze. The contact stated that while going 25 mph then making a right hand turn the right front wheel feel off the vehicle. The vehicle rolled over the wheel and the side air bags engaged but the front air bags did not. There were no injuries and a police report was filed. The vehicle was totaled by the contact's insurance company. The failure mileage was 28,000. Tf.

I drove over a bump and the side air bags deployed ripping the roof covering off around the inside top of the car. I reported this to the dealer and they at refusing to cover the repair even though there is no visible damage to my vehicle aside from some light scratches along the front where I had turned too close to the curb in the past and it had scraped the front. My vehicle is still at the dealer and I am very frustrated they are attempting not to cover this repair.

I, chasity combs, was driving and was stopped at a stop light. When the light turned green I proceeded to excel forward. The car was only going between 10-15 miles per hour when without hitting or curbing anything my tire blew. Right after the tire blew all (6) six of my airbags deployed. When the airbags deployed the car quickly filled with smoke like air. The airbags caused me to not be able to see and I steered the car off the side of the road. At such time, onstar came across the speakers and asked if we were in an accident and if we needed the police &/or an ambulance. We yelled to the onstar person that we thought the car was on fire because of the smoke like substance and that we needed the police that we were on only vehicle that had been in an accident. I still have no clue what transpired in the event of the tire blowing especially since I didn't hit anything or curb anything. And I still don't know why the airbags deployed when they shouldn't have. I am educated on the requirements of deployed airbags and never at such time did I ever meet these requirements especially for all (6) six of the airbags to deploy. I never hit anything at a speed of 14 mph, nor was I tee boned from both sides, nor did our car role over. Which is the main reasons for all (6) six of the airbags to deploy. On another note the airbags on the drivers side, my side, deployed with such force that the airbags broke my glasses, my cell phone screen, and broke the ignition key off in the ignition. The airbag that protects the drivers knees left a bruise the size of a grapefruit on my leg. I never seemed medical attention. As for the passenger side airbags, they didn't have any force behind them. The airbags never even touched my wife at all and she didn't have any injuries at all. The tire in which we are discussing is the front passenger tire.

Passenger side airbag is not working. With all the faulty air bag recalls--why isn't mine being recalled? gm wants $700 to repair it, and the car is only 3 years old.

The contact wanted owns a 2011 Chevrolet Cruze. The contact stated that the front passenger side air bag sensor malfunctioned. The front passenger side air bag would not identify a passenger sitting in the passenger seat and the air bag would not activate. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer where the front passenger seat cover was removed and the sensor was replaced. The failure continued. My complaint is the side airbag. My 12 year daughter and myself were in a t-bone type accident when another car ran a stop sign. $9000. 00 damage to my 2011 Cruze and the airbags did not deploy on the side. She was injured in the accident I feel due to the airbags not deploying. I have called gm and the will investigate but act as if its no big deal. . . It is a big deal.
