When I was driving at 30 mph my wheel locked up and a messages appeared on my dash saying power steering fail. I had no control over my wheel and that happened twice in a 5 minute drive. My wheel now has resistance when turning. The next day when trying to start my car it stalled, when started again a message appeared about the anti theft system being activated- I couldn't drive my car. When I restarted it again another message appeared saying roll driver window down and back up. The same night I was driving 5 minutes down the road and everything inside of my car turned off- dashboard, lights, radio, I'm pretty sure my car even turned off for that second and that happened 3 times in the span of a 5 minute drive, all while my wheel is still resisting to turn. On a diagnosis nothing appears to be wrong with my vehicle. This is extremely unsafe and I am very concerned.

Driving down highway and the dic starts flashing and then the power steering failed and the car then lost power and the engine cut out. I was able to pull the car over to the shoulder and stop the car. I was able to restart the vehicle. I took to dealer and they replaced the negative battery cable. I soon received an extended warranty for the cable from gm for 10 yrs or 120000 miles. So they are aware of the issue and cars cutting out and losing power on the highway is not considered dangerous to the drivers or their passengers.
Electrical issues that include loss of power steering while driving: warning indicators would flash on and off, such as "service stabilitrack", "service power steering" and "service abs", while driving. Radio began shutting on and off while driving. When the display & radio shuts off, even the blinker wouldn't make a sound. What I find alarming is during these episodes, the power steering actually fails for a short period of time. On a 20 minute drive, I experienced 4 failures and the above electrical issues happening non-stop for the duration of the trip. A day later, as a test, I drove my car around my neighborhood (less than a 1 minute drive) and experienced all the same issues, including loss of power steering. I have scheduled service with a dealer. A search on the internet shows an alarming number of chevy Cruze owner with this issue, which points to manufacturing or design defect and not wear & tear. Loss of power steering while in motion would seem to be a safety issue and should be addressed.
