Horn Assembly Problems of Chevrolet Equinox

First the service airbag light comes on and none of the buttons on the steering wheel work. Now the horn is continuously blowing while driving, and won't stop until the car is turned off.

Its a ticking noise when started up then lights from the dash board to the head lights, flicks off and on and the horn goes out at the same time. When driving the idle dont seem to pick up speed the transmission seems to has problem it make this horrible loud noise and the car do seem to drive right. The cv joint is going bad for the 5 time and the bars the wheels make this loud noise I only had this car for 5 yrs (chevy Equinox 2010) and most I had to replace, now its going bad again. The transmission is the big problem now I have to replace again I might as well get an whole new car.

Tl- the contact owns a 2007 Chevrolet Equinox. The contact stated that the vehicle had failed to move forward when in drive, failed to retain brake fluid, the vehicle suddenly slows down and the brakes had locked several times intermittently. The stability traction control and brake lights had been illuminating randomly when the failure happened. The dealer john thornton Chevrolet (1971 thornton rd, lithia springs, GA 30122, (678) 303-4071) indicated that there was brake contamination provided an extensive diagnosis but did not specify which specific parts may need to be replaced at this point so the contact was uncertain if they actually had a permanent remedy to repair the vehicle. An independent mechanic stated that the abs system would need to be further inspected and that the brake master cylinder may need to be replaced. The manufacturer had issued 7 TSB on brakes, 1 TSB on traction control but have not yet issued a recall for both components. The manufacturer provided no solution other than taking the vehicle for the dealer for a diagnosis and repair. The vehicle was not repaired. The VIN was not available. First one week ago, the car was slow to turn on when turning the ignition and all the lights on the instrument panel lite up with the message check power steering. Tonight 8/11/17 the car will not turn over, but it still has a working horn, lights. And radio. Check engine light comes on followed by service power steering, service stabiltrack message, electric windows would not roll up, speedometer and rpm gauges move all the way over and back, and all the lights on the electric panel are on. Engine will not turn on.

2005 Chevrolet Equinox safety issue with the steering. Consumer states that the steering failed completely. Dealer blamed the failure on ice in the wheel well. Then the trouble light illuminated and the issue has not yet been fixed properly. The consumer stated the vehicle had to be towed because it wouldn't start. The dealer cleaned the connector, however the computer did not pick up any diagnostic history, even though the trouble light had been coming on quite consistently. On Feb 25, 2006 the consumer once again lost steering, but regained it and continued to drive. At that time they replaced the ignition switch. The trouble light continued to come on and once again the vehicle would not start. The dealer discovered that by pushing on the fuse box, the vehicle would start and steer. On 2 separate occasions, the consumer became stranded, the doors wouldn't unlock and the vehicle wouldn't start, but the horn worked. The consumer let the vehicle sit overnight and when she came back, the vehicle still would not automatically unlock, she opened the door manually and pounded on the fuse box, and the vehicle started up. The second time the consumer became stuck, pounding on the fuse box did not work and the vehicle didn't start, even though the battery was fine. The vehicle was towed to the dealer, and for the second time, the ignition switch was replaced. As soon as the consumer left the dealer the trouble light illuminated again. The consumer stated the steering continues to go out a couple of times. The consumer also stated the resume button for the cruise control doesn't always work properly.

Contact states: bought a brand new vehicle in August 2004. The anti-freeze was changed. The anti-freeze was brown and the smell was severe and nauseous. The car has been the shop 9 times with so many different reasons. The antifreeze line wasn't bled right and the antifreeze was leaking in the ground. There was a leak in the dome light and sunroof, the suspension and engine would tick, the horn did not work, there were front end problem, the shifter would stick, there ignition problem, noise when turning the vehicle, gas mileage problem and there was a toxic smell from the anti-freeze, the vehicle over heated, the brakes made noises, the consumer had driven through a car wash, the dome light had filled with water, the lower dash was dripping water and the vehicle would not accelerate vehicle would not accelerate and the engine light had illuminated, the vehicle pulled to the right when driving and when braking,there was poor gas mileage during city driving, there was a loud noises when making turns on the front struts, the front brake rotors were out of round, the shifter would stick, the ignition cylinder was binding, there was popping when the vehicle was started from cold, and the brake pedal would go to the floor.
