2013 coachmen freelander -Chevrolet Express 4500 cutaway. Mileage -19,662; brake line rusted out and brake fluid leaked out. Brakes failed while on the road, warning message "service brakes'". Made it to a Chevrolet dealership and brake line replaced.

2 Brake Fluid Leak problem of the 2011 Chevrolet Express

Failure Date: 11/01/2014

Vehicle was noted to be leaking fluid while parked in driveway. Further investigation revealed that the back driver's side brake line was leaking brake fluid. Brake fluid level noted to be very low (just above the minimum line). Noted that when brakes are applied brake fluid leaks at a steady and significant pace.

3 Brake Fluid Leak problem of the 2003 Chevrolet Express

Failure Date: 07/23/2012

Driver a noticed lack of pressure in brake pedal. The brake pedal went fully to the floor and resulted in less braking than expected. Driver reduced speed by downshifting to lower gears (automatic transmission) and pulled into first available parking area. By pumping the brakes and pulling into an uphill parking spot, driver achieved enough braking to come to a full stop without using the emergency brake. Inspection showed a nearly full brake reservoir and no leakage from wheel cylinders. Further inspection showed leaking fluid from brake line on left side under the drivers seat and above the vehicle frame. It squirted out from a crack in a brake line when brake pedal was pumped. The vehicle was deemed unsafe to drive. The vehicle was towed for repair.

4 Brake Fluid Leak problem of the 2005 Chevrolet Express

Failure Date: 04/24/2009

The contact owns a 2005 Chevrolet Express cut-away g3500. When the contact depressed the brake pedal at 10 mph, the vehicle became difficult to stop. Upon further inspection, he noticed brake fluid leaking from the hoses. He took the vehicle to a local repair shop and the mechanic stated that the brake lines were rubbing together, which caused the hose to rupture. The contact is in the process of having the vehicle repaired. The failure and current mileages were 58,000.
