Ii purchased a beutiful 2009 Hhr from a car dealership, in may of 2020, an in July f 2020, it would barely speed up, the gears, wouldn't shift on me and I also found out that I had not only been operating a "defected" vehice but the car dealer faied to mention he was selling me a "recalled" car, (a neighbor informed me) I had my car towed to my son's house,because I stopped at a stop sign and the car kept rolling backwardsi and it only goes in reverse now. My daughter in law was involved in a roll over accident today and not one of the airbags deployed, resulting in a concussion to the left side of head when it hit the drivers side window and busted it!.

Service air bags comes on sometimes saying I need to get it serviced only comes on when car has just been started . Sometimes gos out sometimes don't then sends service code on main display. Also radio shorts out cause driver to be distracted trying to figure out what happen changing from cd to fm to auxiliary on its own.

Takata recall on Feb,25/2019 I was I was traveling 95 north to chesterfield to get on chippenham parkway and I was in a car accident with my 2009 Hhr I hit a another car from behind and my hood on my Hhr was torn back so bad it would not open ,the airbag did deploy I was going about 30 mph when the person in front me came to a complete stop. And I slammed on brakes I have to see a I have to see a doctor now.

Know problem on connectors to air bags gives 2 codes b0019-0d and b0010-04 states that this know problem can stop deployment of air bags. Upon looking problem up this is very common on this car and the manufacturer knows of it. This is safety and should be fixed by them before someone gets hurt.

Takata recall my horn don't work the service airbags stays on. The struts back hatch don't open cruise control don't work checked all my fuses and they are all good.

Takata recall 4/11/2018 purchased car. Dealer did a saftey inspection on this used Hhr . In my drive home on expressway air bag lite came on @ 59 miles driven after the purchase. I checked and now see there are tons of issued complaints on the lt Hhr model. Please respond.

My air bag service light continues to turn on and off at various intervals. I think it has to do with a faulty passenger underneath sensor but I'm not sure. I know there's been several recalls involving the airbag wiring and electronics so I think it may be related to that work. It hasn't been fixed yet or replaced. I believe it maybe related to the other airbag recalls or a faulty sensor from the start. This is a common issue I've come to findout.

I am unable to get gm or my local chevy dealership to complete the two outstanding safety recalls in a timely manor. I've been extremely patient but they refuse to accommodate my simple needs. I've been working with chevy of south anchorage (dealership) since 4/8/2015 attempting to schedule the work for the weekend or get a loaner car. They were unable to accommodate my needs (a car while mine is being repaired or a loaner car). I contacted Chevrolet customer assistance center on 12/1/2016 after repeatedly being ignored or lied to by the dealership. For the past three month I've been getting absolutely no help from Chevrolet in getting a appointment for the weekend or a loaner car. I feel very unsafe driving the car but have no alternative. This has continued to cause me serious emotional distress. I have 57 emails between myself and Chevrolet customer assistance center or the dealership attempting to get this resolved on top of the countless phone calls, voicemails, and numerous visits to the dealership.

Car speeded up and down ,car started to spin in circle,lost power steering,lost control of car,car flipped and rolled over 3 times down a 30 yd. Cliff . I asked for a warranty repair on my airbag. The dealer got the part and sent it back on 7-13-12. They never called, emailed or wrote me a letter. I was never contacted. . Recently. Gm recalled my keys, I asked about my airbags. For the first time, on 9-12-14, nathan barrett 313 875 0500 was the only service employee who told me the part is not at the dealer and it was sent back 2 years ago and if I wanted it I would have to pay almost 400. 00 for it. I had detrimentally relied on the representations of at least 13 different contacts with service people, over this period of time, with this service department to honor the repair. Nathan copied the service work order sheet and gave me a copy of it. There was no mention or notation of a phone call ever been made, on it. Aaron paytna and nathan barrett, service managers at james martin Chevrolet 6250 woodward Ave. Detroit, michigan 48202, refuse to honor the airbag repair although they are repairing other model airbags daily on a open safety recall from the nstb. General motors representative david at 1-866-790-5600 extension 30641 refuses to honor the repair although he has open recalls on other models for the same issue. Since general motors has a history of exploding airbags causing crashes and several open recalls on several models, I am certain that this one (2010 Hhr) should be added to the list for safety concerns. Also, the running lights have a safety issue too, on almost all models the daytime running lamps and regular lights have the right headlight out. This is not a coincidence, it is a known design defect and all gm products from 2010 forward and should be recalled as the lights cause a safety hazard. In summation, I want the 2010 Hhr recalled for their right headlights and their airbags.
