1 Engine Head Gasket Leaking problem

Failure Date: 02/15/2016

The contact owns a 2004 Chevrolet Impala. The contact had not experienced a failure prior to being repaired at the dealer (pete moore automotive, 103 and 106 new warrington rd pensacola, FL 32506 850-456-7000, ext 466) per NHTSA campaign numbers: 15v701000 (engine and engine cooling) and 15v201000 (engine and engine cooling). The contact was uncertain if the repair caused a failure when the parts were replaced. The contact felt that the oem parts may have failed and that the manufacturer needed to provide a solution to the dealer to repair the vehicle. The contact was unable to prevent an internal oil leak. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who stated that the rear gaskets were leaking. The manufacturer was notified of the failures. The failure mileage was not available.
