The contact owns a 2017 Chevrolet Impala. The contact stated while starting the vehicle he noticed that the air conditioner was blowing hot air. There was no warning light illuminated. The contact stated that the evaporator core leaked in addition and freon was leaking into the cabin of the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed as a failure with the evaporator core and the a/c compressor. The contact was informed that the evaporator core and the a/c compressor needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 53,548.

The contact owns a 2013 Chevrolet Impala. The contact stated that for the past nine years, the blower fan had been replaced several times. The contact stated that prior to the failures, the blower fan was making abnormal tapping and clicking sounds. The contact stated that the check engine warning light was intermittently illuminated. The contact had taken the vehicle to an independent mechanic; however, the vehicle was not diagnosed. The independent mechanic determined that the fan and heater needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired after every service appointment; however, the contact stated that eventually the fan and heater failed and had to be replaced. The manufacturer was not informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 140,000.
