Failure Date: 04/17/2006

Own a 2001 Chevrolet silverado extended cab truck. Recently received a recall notice concerning the anti-lock brake failures. After taking the vehicle to the dealer for the recommended service (under the recall), I started experiencing braking failures at slow speeds. I have not been back three times and the dealer is un-able to resolve.

2 Anti-lock Brakes Fail problem of the 2000 Chevrolet K1500

Failure Date: 11/03/2005

The anti-lock brakes system failed do to corrosion, do to the salt usage for snow & ice control in the state of minnesota. They would activate at low speeds, and by the time I got the dealer to get it repaired I almost hit a building and a vehicle couldn't stop in time. The parts where removed, cleaned, conditioned and put back on the vehicle. Campaign number 05v379000.

3 Anti-lock Brakes Fail problem of the 1997 Chevrolet K1500

Failure Date: 10/20/2005

Anti-lock braking system failure. Has been occurring continuously for over three years at very low speeds. Abs activates un-wanted and can cause loss of braking control/distance. 2000 models and newer already have recall on same issue.
