Vehicle purchased in September 2015 with 18 miles. 3 weeks later when brakes were pressed, they started making this grinding sound. The sound appeared occasionally every few months for a few seconds. Brake noise still occasionally occurring in 2019, dealerships said it's just moisture. Think it's something else. 3 weeks after purchase engine light comes on with code p2097, then light cuts off a few days later, dealer states just needs computer update. The engine light keeps coming on every few months reading the same code p2097. Receive a shift to park message when vehicle is in park and off, have to cut vehicle on and off until the message disappears. Took to dealership paid $300 to replace a sensor. Still experiencing the same problem every few weeks. The vehicle runs fine minus these reoccurring issues since purchased.

Tl the contact owns a 2008 Chevrolet Malibu. The contact stated the vehicle failed to start without warning. The contact stated that the doors failed to lock. Additionally, while the brake pedal was depressed, there was an abnormal grinding sound detected. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who referred the contact to the local dealer for assistance. The dealer was not contacted. The vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired. The manufacturer was contacted however, no further assistance was provided. The failure mileage was 50,000.

The contact owns a 2010 Chevrolet Malibu. The contact stated that in cooler weather, the power steering would become very shaky and no warning lights illuminated on the instrument panel. The vehicle was not taken to a dealer or independent mechanic. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 15,000 and the current mileage was 70,000. Updated 8/11/cn the consumer stated when the steering was cold, there was a chatter and a constant growling noise. Also, the check engine light illuminated. Updated 08/26/14.
1. Brakes squeak and are not as responsive as they should be

2. On two occasions when traveling between 50-75 m. P. H, the car has not accelerated properly and has made strange grinding noise
a. Dealer indicated that another owner of the same model vehicle expressed the same complaint
b. Dealer said computer did not show anything wrong on my vehicle, or the other vehicle owner's vehicle
3. On 4-6 occasions, the car has surged. . . Sometimes this happens @ slow speeds and other times when cruise control is engaged. . . . I am afraid to use cruise control anymore
