I bought a 2002 chevy Malibu in sept of 2005 and have had nothing but repair bills since. I understand some of the stuff was maintenance but I don't think all of it is. The list of my complaints is to long so I am hoping somebody will call me. Thank you.

I purchased my 2002 Malibu new and have had the brakes replaced four times and am on my third set of rotors. At 54000 miles the wheel bearing and control arm bushings had to be replaced. Two weeks later the fuel pump had to be replaced also. The passenger side rear window can't be down because last time we had a rough time getting it to go back up.
After a year the lights on the dashboad/radio and window wouldn't come on right away. Then the engine light would come on but there's was nothing wrong with it. Then the service light would come on month after I had a oil change done. While I was driving, the car just slowed up and stop. Told by my mechanic it was the fuel pump but while he had it for half the day; the car started right up with no problem. Also sometimes there's a clicking noise like my signal is on but its not. I was told it was my alarm key. Every time there is a incident computer shows it but can't explain the problem and it stop for awhile but comes back. Been like this since I had it and I have taken it to the dealer they keep it over night same thing.

I have had to replace the fuel pump on my 2001 chevy Malibu twice. I also had to replace the fuel filter twice after that. I keep getting black residue in the filter that plugs it up. I have tried to get gas at different stations but that has not helped. The car has left me stranded 4 times now. The local chevy dealer has no explanation on what the black residue is.

Vehicle stalled while driving on highway I-295 south at 65 mph. Apparently, gasoline was not getting to the fuel pump. Almost caused an accident; I had to coast from the fast lane to the shoulder (three lanes). . . It was scary! vehicle was towed to dealership (brandow Chevrolet, florence, NJ). The fuel pump relay and sender was bad. Had to be repaired/replaced.

I have a 2000 Malibu with 16. 000 miles on it. The fuel pump just went. The mechanics I spoke with felt this to be highly unusual. He felt that there most likely was a manufacturer's defect.
Going to work car just dies. Waited for a tow truck. Took to my mechanic. He replaced the fuel pump. My car is a 2000 mailbu which only has 15,000 miles on it . Cannot belive that this part would fail that soon. This repair cost me 500. 00 the part alone was of course a dealer only part. Was 350. 00 plus a filter. Outrageous. Are these things made out of gold.
Transmission failure, power steering failure, fuel pump failure.

While driving at any speed the vehicle will suddenly stall without any warning. It had taken the vehicle a while to restart and when it did restart it needed constant refueling. Upon inspection of the vehicle by a local mechanic he indicated that the problem could be caused by the fuel pump.
My car kept dying while driving down the road. My mechanic told me to consider 1/4 tank empty, because when the car got down to empty, all the gas was in the lines and it ruined the fuel pump. It has not happened since I got a new fuel pump. 8jb.

Front disc brake rotors are warping again after being replaced at 12000 miles. When brakes are applied steering wheel vibrates excessively. Dealership is denying any responsibility of repair. While driving, my car suddenly lost complete power. It took 3 times to a dealer to replace a part in my fuel system, only to be told they weren't sure if that was the problem. It did'nt do it again for 6 months, then it did it again.
Defect with electronic fuel pump system on 2003 Chevrolet Malibu. The vehicle would stall unless the gas pedal was continuously pump down. When this was necessary the driver had to keep one foot on the gas and the other foot on the brake to keep the vehicle from stalling. The vehicle was taken to the dealer on two separate occasions. The first time they could find the cause of the problem. The second time they replaced the fuel pump. After the pump was replaced the problem recurred. Since the stalling is intermittent the manufacturer refuses to address and permanently rectify the problem.
