One problem related to brake drum wheel cylinder has been reported for the 1997 Chevrolet S10. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Consumer stated the built-in wear indicators never made a high-pitched warning sound to indicate brake failure. However, there was a loud grinding noise coming from the left front tire and was also heard when coming to a stop. Rotors, disc, wheel cylinder and brake pads had to be replaced.
