1)motor mount broke. 2) day after purchasing used vehicle for dealership, truck was in gear and top speed was about 15mph for about 50 foot. Engine would die then have a hard time starting. Happened for 30 miles. After that, after running engine for more than 1 1/2 hour, the truck would die. I have to pull over and let it sit for a few seconds before it will start again. Happens numerous times.
While driving, I notice white smoke in my rear view mirror. Checked all my gauges, which were all fine, and the vehicle was running like normal. I pulled over to the side of the road, and when I got the vehicle stopped, black smoke started entering the driver's compartment. I turned the vehicle off and got out. I opened the hood to find that my engine was on fire. As of this time, I do not know what caused it.

I bought the 2003 Chevrolet 1gccs19h138172615, LS ext cab truck on 11/13/03 late evening. The mileage just only 23 miles. The indicate showing need service, I am very shot it is brand new 2 days drove to work. I believe the engine is something wrong and I do not want to get the potential accident. Please help me. Thanks

Consumer stated that vehicle in the last 3 months in repair shop for transmission problems 9 times. After bringing vehicle to repair shop shop everything else started to break down. Also, fuel pump was replaced 3 times. Fuel gauge operated poorly, and vehicle died/stopped while driving on the road.
Engine head gasket problem. Consumer will provide further information.
1. Constantly had to check and fill oil and antifreeze. 2. Used all the oil and motor blew up with no advance warning. 3. Left me stranded in sub-zero weather. 4. Contacted local chevy dealer (stocker, state college, PA) via email and received no response whatsoever.
Engine light stays on, dealer stated that fuel cap was loose and repaired it. Next day the light came back on. Please provide additional information. .

Consumer took vehicle in for an oil change and to have the differential checked. There were bits of metal found in the oil, and the original seal had not been broken.

Intake gasket burned out and allowed anti-freeze in engine oil. Engine had to be replaced due to this defect. Mechanic put in same type of intake gasket back into vehicle in order for engine to be covered under a warranty.
Engine exhibited complete failure. Connecting rod thrown through engine block. Engine experienced erratic oil pressure readings from 20psi to 60psi prior to failure.
Gasket valve cover failed.
Engine valve guide seals failed, causing tapping/chattering noise.
Engine piston rings malfunctioned, causing engne to rattle.
Defective piston rings caused the vehicle to use excess oil. Yh.

2000 Chevrolet s-10 engine blew out. The engine blew, the timing chain broke and the valves were bent. The dealer refused any liability. (sister linda trail-boca on behalf of brother billy trail).
Consumer stated that while driving he herd big thump before he lost steering, causing the vehicle to leave the roadway, could not stop the vehicle with the brakes, vehicle ran into a tree, consumer stated the pully sheared off from engine.
Vehicle lost power while driving and smoke was emitted from under the hood. Vehicle was towed to the shop where the mechanic indicated that the vehicle had a blown head gasket.
