Six problems related to brake foundation components have been reported for the 1999 Chevrolet Silverado. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Consumer states of having problems with the abs system. Dealer was contacted. Mr.
Consumer states when appling brakes, after vehicle has stop, brake pedal goes all the way to the floor and vehicle suddenly accelerates with feet still on the brake, have to slam on brakes to stop vehicle. Maufacturer was of no help with this problem. Nlm.
The brakes failed on more than one occassion on the highway. There were two recalls, one of them related to brake problem. The consumer wants the dealer to fix the problem.
While slowing down for stop light the brakes depress an go all the way to the floor but the vehicle does stop but coast through light. Nlm.
On several occasions brakes pulsate on smooth pavement.
While driving at 35-40 mph brakes went completely out, dash illumination for bakes stays on, and runs the battery completely down. Please provide any further information or make corrections .
